King Charles on US mission to bolster UK's special relationship with 'royalist' Trump

Britain's King Charles heads to the United States next week for the most high-profile trip of his reign so far, on a mission to shore up the future of the two allies' "special relationship" which the Iran war has plunged to its lowest point in ‌70 years.
The state visit marks the 250th anniversary of the U.S. declaration of independence from British rule, when the then 13 American colonies decided to split from King ‌George III, Charles's five-times-great-grandfather.
For Charles, it will be a moment to reflect on how Britain and the United States have come together since then to forge some of the world's closest security, military and economic ties, while for U.S. President Donald Trump it will be another chance to indulge his love of the British royals.

Commentary:
Calling Trump a royalist is rather insulting.
Trump has mostly pushed things back to the states, he has not been a centralizer. Where Trump has acted in many cases has been to undo what can only be done Presidentially. That is executive order now overturns old failed executive order.
Meanwhile, Charlie has a lot of bowing to do to clean up the mess Starmer created by refusing to assist the U.S.

This is America. We're all kings and queens here.

Rep. Bolbert was fairly outspoken about this meeting basically stating "we do not have a king and I have no interest in this meeting" or something, this probably hekps her politically. Canada does have a king of course but I have to admit, I am confused about this meeting as I do not see how this benefits Trump at all, in fact it may even hurt his legacy, especially as a Republican, a Party that historically rejects pomp and pageantry. Also, the U.K economy and military is woefully weak today, it isn't the 1960s. With the Iran war on, the timing is bad for Trump and King Charles (who is also taking heat at home)

They'll call Trump whatever he wants to hear, because everyone knows all you need to do is lick ass and Trump will love you for it.

The mess created by Starmer? Sorry, but it's the mess created by Trump. Trump should never have gone into Iran. The UK has been helping the US in many ways, allowing flights through the UK, which Spain didn't do, even after Trump insulted Starmer on many occasions because Trump thinks he gets to decide who should run other countries.
