King Charles, Queen Camilla to visit Front Royal on Thursday

The Royals are coming to Front Royal, Virginia.

King Charles III and Queen Camilla of the United Kingdom will visit the town to meet residents and engage with local business owners and organizations during a Block Party and parade set for Thursday along Main Street and at the gazebo.

“It will be an honor to welcome the Royal Family to the Town of Front Royal during their historic visit for America’s 250th anniversary,” said Mayor Lori Cockrell in a press release issued by the British Embassy in Washington, D.C. “We know that when they have an opportunity to see our town and engage with our residents and businesses, they will understand why we love to call this community our home.”

I was wondering what all the down town activity was about today.
I heard they were going up on the Skyline Drive/Shenandoah National Park afterwards.
They have already closed the schools and canceled trash pick-up for Thursday.

If he drives in I suspect he will go right by the house....There were a bunch of cops at the end of the street this morning pointing at the intersection. I guess they are gonna shut down the Parkway for a straight shot into town.

LOL....There were about a dozen old women down at the gazebo protesting on No Kings day. I bet they are already jockeying for a seat for Thursday to welcome a King.

I wonder if our creepy governor will schlepp up from Richmond?

Queen Elizabeth visited PG County, MD back in 1957.
You can be sure Charles and co. will stay far away this time. They had to land here but then they got to helicopter outta town immediately.

I don't recall that town name but believe I have been there when I went to Manassas and followed the route taken in the war by General Robert E Lee. I left that time from Falls Church, VA.

Well, the Royals have done come and gone from my town.

Lots of police escorts coming in and out of town. At one time there were four VSP and Homeland Security coppers flying about.

They said our creepy governor schlepped in.

There really wasn't too many streets blocked off and traffic seemed normal. I went to the PO in town with no issue.
