A friend of mine moved to Japan about 5 years ago. He was the building janitor and always seemed kind of slow. Yet he learned how to speak Japanese fluently in less than 6 months.

He married a Japanese girl and swears by the culture! He told me that work is about the only word they know.

Japan's naval and shipbuilding yards are among the finest in the world. They are considered to be the top producer of high-tech military grade naval equipment for marine purposes.

Take the shackles off of them and let them rebuild their Navy! The dragon is shitting bricks watching all of this happen.

From Google:
Japanese naval yards, historically and currently, are considered among the world's finest due to their advanced technology, high-quality engineering, and efficiency. Leading shipyards, including those operated by IHI Corporation, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, and Japan Marine United Corporation, consistently produce cutting-edge vessels like Maya-class destroyers and advanced diesel-electric submarines.

Key Historical and Modern Naval Yards
Kure Naval Arsenal (now IHI Corp): Historically the largest, producing major ships like the battleship Yamato. Kure remains a crucial base for the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) and modern shipbuilding.

Yokosuka Naval Dockyard: Established in the 1860s, it is a key historical hub with deep roots in modernizing Japan’s naval fleet, now used by both US and Japanese forces.

Sasebo and Maizuru: Two of the four principal Imperial Naval yards that provided regional strategic support.

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (Nagasaki): A major facility involved in producing carriers and advanced surface combatants.

Key Strengths of Japanese Naval Yards
Technological Leadership: Japan excels in diesel-electric submarine technology, incorporating Air-Independent Propulsion (AIP) and high-performance lithium-ion batteries.
Efficiency and Quality: Modern Japanese yards produce sophisticated vessels like Mogami-class frigates rapidly and at high quality.
Efficiency: Japanese shipbuilders are known for delivering high-quality naval assets (like the Mogami-class frigates) at a lower cost and with fewer crew requirements compared to many Western counterparts.

Integrated Logistics: Many yards are located near existing SDF bases, allowing for efficient maintenance and rapid repair of vessels
