Liar, Liar pants on fire...?

"According to Dr. Shefer, Iron Dome is a part of a broad conspiracy, in which two interested parties afraid of peace are participating: the defense industries and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. "

To me, that's a smoking gun right there.

And they said the same thing about the Patriot missile, which wasn't initially designed to down rockets but performed quite well on Saddam's SCUDs.

Haaretz is a left wing newspaper and like 5 years ago they were against the Iron Dome project and called it a waste of budget, now after 100 interceptions I've seen in my own eyes I can assure you its not a waste of budget, Now they try to save their ass with new conspiracy in the "Opinion" section.
Again, you can see dozen of videos of the interceptions in the media, I personally met like 5 soldiers that operate the Iron Dome system, and I witness with my own eyes the interception - Best Defensive system ever.
If you really want to know about other systems that operates similarly you can read about these:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arrow_(Israeli_missile)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trophy_(countermeasure)
http://www.rafael.co.il/marketing/SIP_STORAGE/FILES/3/943.pdf
And you can also enter the Hamas website and see when they "retaliate" to Israelis attacks.
http://www.qassam.ps/
But I think its hacked, probably by Cyber Unit or private section.

If this turns out to be true, it changes the whole dynamic of the current situation:

Globes English - Defense Prize winner Moti Shefer: Iron Dome is a bluff

Anyone care to disprove the article?

:lol::lol: What a load of tripe. Look up the British Sea Wolf missile system. They tested it by intercepting 4.5 inch naval artillery shells....back in the 1970's! In other words, his first statement is provably false.

There is no need to waste more time on this load of hog wash.

The man is claiming a lot more than that.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Israeli Whistle Blower: 'Horrible Lies.' No Gaza Attacks On Tel Aviv, No Iron Dome Op | War and Conflict

Essentially, he's saying the missile attacks from Gaza into Tel Aviv are fakes, designed to gain international support for attacks on Gaza.

I need to know a lot more about the man and his political interests before I can decided on how likely he is to be telling the truth.
Go ahead, I don't need any more reason to go myself to Gaza and put a bullet in the head of all the Hamas members.
And by the way this is called De-Legitimization and it's very effective, but Hamas proudly made several announcements they are willing to kill us, so spare me the 'exclusive Israeli' because in Israel there are people who support Hamas, and most of the Terrorist attacks in Israel made by Israeli Arabs or people with "Visiting" permits so spare me the bullshit.

Oh just noticed, he said "WHAT IF" but anyway, I don't believe shit Haaretz is saying, not their journalists and not the reporters.

Fred: When anyone uses hate sites like that as though the 'contributors' are actual reporters who have fact-checkers, etc - they look like a bigoted idiot.

Not only that, McAfee is advising me not to go to many sites about BIN - so I don't think it's really a legit news outlet. More like an extremely biased blog.

http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Before_It's_News

"Before It's News is a citizen journalism outfit, where anyone can write something and have it go up. Or at least, that was the intention, as it was promptly flooded with conspiracy theorists and is now an outlet for gibbering lunacy. The advertising is for survivalist supplies.

The site was founded in 2008 by dot com investor and Falun Gong practitioner Chris Kitze.[1] Before It's News describes itself as "People Powered News®", and accepts stories from any political background, although its political stories are entirely from conservative viewpoints and BIN goes so far as to have a dedicated "Obama Birthplace Controversy" category. A significant amount of the site's content consists of bloggers reposting their stories with links back to their own site.

The site also runs a podcast called BIN Radio. The Skeptical Humanities blog uses Before It's News as a rich source of idiocy for their "This Week In Conspiracy" series. "

One of the sources here is Theodore Postel.. I know of him from my work on warhead tracking..
He has never seen a defensive missile system that works. He is literally SURE that none have ever functioned. When asked to review classified evidence on one system he refused. On the basis that it would COMPROMISE his clearances to be critic of "classified defensive missiles" and be privvy to the findings in the report.

Figure out that logic... I think it meant he'd feel bad about lying when the facts were known to him..

If Iron Dome is fake, Hamas really sucks at firing rockets.
In other words...
Israel...Winning!

It's "possible" that the intercept rate is exaggerated. But 80% of the missiles launched from Gaza are awfully damn slow and erratic. Would be surprised if an interceptor that big could miss one..

Not really. Here is some video of the Sea Wolf system in operation. This is 1970's technology and they had a 100% hit rate during the Falklands war. They even shot a bomb out of the sky.

The second shows the missile making a 90 degree turn immediately after launch...and remember boys and girls...this is 1970's technology.

Amazing. Love it.
What about the videos from Israel demonstrating how well it works?
