"Git 'er done" is indeed what voters want. It's the "it", of course, that varies, and neither party has anything close to a monopoly on that. Even if it thinks it does.I think for most, Trumps TV personality is seen as a serious flaw for a President, but it is refreshing in a way that seems more 'real' than the blow-dried, empty suits the Political Establishment has been dishing out to us for decades.I can understand you don't see anything unusual about Trump and his behaviors. I get it. To you, the cartoonish hyperbole, constant personal attacks and general instability are perfectly normal.
But for the majority, they are indeed unusual (even some Trumpsters have the balls to admit it), and the point is that the response from the hard Left would be similar.
.
When Trump makes the Atlantic Coast Press fly off into gales of outrage, I think most of us find it at least amusing if not hilarious.
But Trump gets things done as opposed to professional politicians that use government projects as a means of paying off their supporters. The Wollman Rink was the classic example of this.
I would rather have a clown for President that can achieve the goals he was elected for rather than the most 'Presidential' Establishment clone with all the 'gravitas' in the world.
"Just git 'er done" is what most voters want, not more of the 'Well, we will commission a blue ribbon panel to study this problem, declare 'war' on it, come out with a full glossy set of media packaging and put this through a major media campaign for 4 years....oh, and maybe, despite our best efforts, the problem might get fixed."

I disagree. most americans want the same things
1. a growing economy
2. safety for themselves and their kids
3. sane foreign policy
4. sane financial policy
5. accountability for all who work for the government
6. a strong military and no wars
7. individual freedom
a president who delivers all or most of those will please a vast majority of americans
