Is it better to live in the US or in Europe?

Emphasis on the word "could". Real scientists don't use that word. We use the words, "you WILL, this WILL, this is WHAT you will see".

Etc.

Those are predictions. Anytime you see the words "could, may, suggests, or might" you are dealing with pseudo science.

Real scientists don't use weasel words like those.
Look at you ******* morons. One summer isn't hotter than the last and you think that means something. What a ******* idiot is all I'm saying.

No, 2025 is not the hottest year on record; 2024 holds that distinction. However, 2025 is on track to be one of the warmest years ever recorded, with a greater than 99% chance it will rank in the top five, and a significant possibility of being the second-warmest year behind 2024.

Not the fact that most people in North Korea are starving slaves, but just the fat man.
So how much of your European largesse are you sending to those starving N. Koreans? You're off topic and debating living in a nanny state where the gov't provides everything for you as opposed to supporting yourself is not the topic. You wanted to know which is better--Europe or the US and you have been told by myself and others that it depends on your opinion and circumstance. I would rather pay for insurance for MY healthcare which we agree is expensive but no more so than your NIH when your inflated taxes are taken into account. It seems most are agreed on the thread that the healthcare in the US is more responsive and effective in the US. But-------you didn't qualify any of that into your OP. You just asked an unsupported open question of "which is better." Now again, you have not provided enough info as to what determines "better"

You lost me when you said their food is better.
How would you know? You like those big chicken breasts you buy at the store? How do you think they got to be that big? Drugs my friend. Your food is on steroids. Theirs is free range, no pesticides, etc.

My buddy has a hunting property surrounded by farms. You should see how big his deer are compared to our hunting property which is all woods for miles and miles and miles. So the deer aren't eating the corn and other crops that are sprayed with chemicals and believe it or not, that shit ruins the taste.

Thats safer, not better. Scottish cuisine has been officially declared a Human Rights violation by the UN. :auiqs.jpg:

Your idiots have NEVER gotten a prediction correct.

Fifty years of failed predictions.

Put that in your pipe, and smoke it.

Wow you're ignorance is impressive

Many of the warnings Gore presented in his 2006 documentary An Inconvenient Truth have proven to be accurate. While some of his projections regarding specific timelines were criticized for being exaggerated or based on the extreme end of scientific models, the overarching trends he described have been borne out by subsequent scientific observation.

and, in some cases, was even more dire than originally predicted.
Gore's presentation of the correlation between increasing CO2 levels and rising global average temperatures has been consistently confirmed. The years since the film's release have broken numerous global temperature records, a trend Gore had predicted.
Gore accurately warned of the retreat of mountain glaciers and the dramatic melting of polar ice. The rate of Arctic summer sea ice loss has accelerated, with some revised estimates showing it disappearing even faster than initially projected
  • The film predicted a rise in the frequency and intensity of extreme weather events, and this has proven true.
    • Heatwaves: Gore's forecast that global warming would increase the number of 100-degree days in many cities has been confirmed, with record-breaking heatwaves occurring regularly.
    • Flooding and droughts: The intensifying water cycle has led to an increase in both severe flooding and droughts, which Gore also included in his warnings.
  • Sea-level rise: While his specific claims about a 20-foot sea-level rise "in the near future" were considered alarmist by some, the broader prediction of accelerating sea-level rise has been correct. The rate of sea-level rise has been shown to be the fastest in centuries.

No, not one of that movies claims has happened. The things you point to are natural variation. In fact " Mr. I know nothing about science" the decade of the 1930's were far hotter, globally, than any decade since.

His claims are laughable, and anyone who still believes them is a moron.

Yea, you're smarter than AI. I ask AI, they told me all that. I could listen to AI or your dumb ass spin. LOL.

15th post
Healthcare is terrible in Europe and the NHS in the UK is collapsing. As far as education goes only a small number are allowed in the university. They must pass a test.
Taxes are higher there is 15% sales tax lower standard of living
America has more options one is community college.
No free speech

So if poverty high taxes and poor healthcare is what you want go there and dont complain about it

No, the NHS isn't collapsing, it has problems, mostly because the conservatives are constantly taking the money out of the system, hoping to "prove" that a US style system is better, so they can make money out of it

. And healthcare isn't "terrible" in Europe. If it were, they wouldn't have better outcomes.

The US's life expectancy is 79.3, which puts it 54th, the UK's is 81.3. The US is at the bottom end of the list for first world countries.

You need to pass a test to go to university? Not in Austria. However in the US you also need to pass a test to go to university. And the US is lower in getting people to go to university than France, Denmark, Norway, Canada etc.

Taxes are higher. But if you end up having to pay a fortune in health insurance, that kind of negates having a high wage, doesn't it?

Are you saying there's no poverty in the US?

And we agree that it depends on circumstances. I never said it wasn't.

The point about North Korea is that ANYWHERE can be better based on circumstances. However whenever asking whether a place is better or not you end up comparing different things.

You can say "money is the most important thing for me", but is it? Having money and being dead is not that great.

And we agree that it depends on circumstances. I never said it wasn't.
I've stated circumstances and opinion in most every post I've made that you've disagreed with. Yeah, you did.
However whenever asking whether a place is better or not you end up comparing different things.
Different than what? You haven't qualified what you believe makes a country better or worse and if you did, it would be based on YOUR opinion. Everyone does not share your opinion about what is better.
You can say "money is the most important thing for me", but is it? Having money and being dead is not that great.
Yeah, I could say that, but I didn't. Your narrative follows closer to those lines as you advocate for government taking care of you. I believe in taking care of myself. Then I am less effected by the childish actions of a bunch of incompetent politicians. Maybe that is why I am reluctant to name any country better than others---they all suck and they all want to control the populace. The government that governs the least governs the best.
