I've stated circumstances and opinion in most every post I've made that you've disagreed with. Yeah, you did.
Different than what? You haven't qualified what you believe makes a country better or worse and if you did, it would be based on YOUR opinion. Everyone does not share your opinion about what is better.
Yeah, I could say that, but I didn't. Your narrative follows closer to those lines as you advocate for government taking care of you. I believe in taking care of myself. Then I am less effected by the childish actions of a bunch of incompetent politicians. Maybe that is why I am reluctant to name any country better than others---they all suck and they all want to control the populace. The government that governs the least governs the best.
No, I never said an individual wouldn't decide which is better based on their own circumstances. I'm saying what's "better" can be seen in different ways, and if you're asking "what's better" then it's generally going to be looking at the different things, healthcare, quality of life, etc. Because that's what the video talks about.
"Which is better?" is which is better in general
"Which is better for you?" would be, for you.
I believe that government plays an important role in society.
In the early 2000s after 18 years of the Tories, the UK was falling apart.
Falling apart in terms of roads, in terms of policing, in terms of education.
But worst of all people were falling apart, especially kids. Kids were becoming more violent, families were breaking down more. Why? Because everything was worse.
In 2012 London had the Olympics, the sport activities they had kept kids out of trouble, then the Tories got in and cut funding and then crime has increased, kids have got worse.
And then this "we know best" attitude in the US, look how bad it is there. The problems in London in the UK look like a good city in the US.
Government has a role to play, it just needs to be a SENSIBLE role. And Proportional Representation leads to a better role. Look at countries like Germany, yes they have their issues, but governance is often better.
And Somalia governs the least, is it better?
