Iranian woman, who has lived in US for 47 years, taken by Ice while gardening

Except that the past success of the US has always been due to massive immigration in the 1800s.
Likely we will also need massive immigration in the future, to compete with China and India on economy of scale, to stop SS default, to pay down the national debt, etc.
Ummmmmmmmmmmmm, these are the 2000's. We left the 1800's about 200 years ago and the immigrants coming here 200 years ago came here LEGALLY, not illegally. You guys can't understand the difference between coming here legally vs illegally.

That makes no sense.
At her age, what could possibly be valid about her "file"?
It simply is illegal to arrest those who are not harming others, and it is illegal to break up families.
In fact, it is also illegal to break promises to the Iranians who did our takeover for us in 1953.
Do you notice that it is only the pay to read sites that is doing the story. Likely it is fake because they need a weekly thing or their customers will leave.

Is gardening a euphamism got making bombs ? I cant say. But if Iran is the great Satan then this woman is worthy of protection.

Are the ICE goons just picking low hanging frruit while the real problems are elsewhere ?
Who can say.
Not exactly going after the worst of the worst.

Not to worry...

Once we're done ejecting OUR Illegal Aliens...

Have your Home Office give Donny and buzz on the phone...

I'm sure he'll be happy to lend you a couple of thousand I.C.E. staff to clean-up Londonistan... :itsok:

Nice to know ice is doing a great job. Perhaps you'd be better served to complain if she's actually deported, which b is doubtful.

It is well documented that Zionists have always been murdering native Palestinian babies.
No. It isn’t. Ragby, you lying ****.

I doubt that you’re Jewish, too. That’s how little credibility you have.

If there is any reason why the US is imposing economic sanctions on Iran, that is proof then that her request for asylum is valid.

No. It’s not. Asylum isn’t offered for economic reasons at all, you imbecile.
It is our rejection of her valid asylum request that was illegal.
Her asylum claim appears to be invalid. But, even if it were valid, it’s not “illegal” to turn down such an application.

Whew doggies! So glad it wasn’t a Chritian Eoropean or South African. MAGA.

What's the maximum length of time a temporary stay can last?

Kashanian complied with all requirements over the time she lived here, according to her family; her arrest likely has more to do with the country she was born in.

"The timing of Kashanian’s detention came just hours after US airstrikes in Iran.

"Federal officials did not comment on her specific case, though the DHS released a statement highlighting the arrests of 11 Iranians nationwide over the weekend, according to Nola...."

"Kashanian arrived in the US in 1978 on a student visa and later applied for asylum, citing fears of persecution due to her father’s ties to the US-backed Shah of Iran.

"Her asylum request was ultimately denied, but she was granted a stay of removal on the condition she comply with immigration requirements, a condition her family says she always met."
Why did she never desire to become a citizen, jackass? :rolleyes-41:
After 47 years, she never wanted to be part of America.

They're picking low hanging fruit because Miller gave them a quota to fill or their asses are gone & that includes Homan. Trump's claim along with his lackeys like Nazi Barbie that only criminals would be taken was a goddam lie right from the get go. The plot is to deport as many "brown people" as possible, no matter what & a good example of that is those bastards taking this woman & tossing her in some gulag detention center.

What a country.
Just ask any Board Stain, how many are you willing or capable to sponsor? Simple question. If Zero? Same here. I cant afford them.

Sponser people who are targeted for deportation by Trump & his masked goon squads?

Don't you want to? You know, like hide murderous Hatians or Somalians in your house because ICE is coming for them. :rolleyes-41:

I disagree.
You cannot legally break up families.
An anchor baby does give automatic legal status to both parents.
It is how almost ALL the citizens of the US came to be citizens, since we almost all actually came from European invaders. If you do not recognize anchor babies as causing citizenship, then none of us are citizens except the original native American Indians.
Marriages of convenience are totally up to the individuals involved, and there should be no "line", so it harms no one. No one else gets any say over marriages.
That is your fantasy, not the law.

15th post
Wrong.
Lots of laws are illegal.
Slavery used to be the law, but it clearly violates basic principles of a republic so was still actually illegal.
What government says or does is not what determines what is truly legal or not.
That is why we periodically have to have revolutions, to fix bad governments.

She had a US citizen for husband and child, and its illegal to either break up the family or force the US citizens to leave as well.
So clearly she cannot legally be deported.

Even the clause claiming convenience marriages to become citizens break the law obviously is wrong. People have the inherent right to get married for any reason they want, including to become a citizen. Governments get no say in marriage.
Total bullshit.

"In short:

"Because she never secured permanent resident status—due to a denied asylum application and legal complications—Donna never became eligible to apply for U.S. citizenship.

"Instead, her legal presence in the country depended on a temporary, check-in–based permission, which isn't a pathway to naturalization."

ChatGPT.

If there is any reason why the US is imposing economic sanctions on Iran, that is proof then that her request for asylum is valid.
It is our rejection of her valid asylum request that was illegal.
ChatGPT has this explanation:

"3. Legal complications re asylum and marriage

  • "During her asylum proceedings, it came out that an earlier marriage was deemed fraudulent. Her husband and daughter say that 'events in her early life' complicated her case. ctinsider.com+2wsbtv.com+2manisteenews.com+2
  • Typically, asylum applicants can apply for a green card after one year of refugee or asylee status—but because her application was denied, she never reached that stage."

Since her family in Iran was obviously supporting US interests, there must be some "events in her early life" that raised red flags. If she's lived here for 47 years, that means she arrived in 1978 on a student visa.

Initially she raised a family in California and complied with immigration check-ins even though she was never granted permanent residency or citizenship.

Since she has acquired no criminal record during the last half-century, it raises the distinct possibility her nationality convinced ICE to arrest her.

No, thats why we are kicking her out.
"Is it accurate to say Donna Kashanian was in the US legally at the time of her arrest?"

ChatGPT:

"Yes — when ICE arrested Donna Kashanian (Mandonna 'Donna') in late June 2025, she was legally present in the U.S. under an officially recognized 'stay of deportation' status. Although her asylum claim had been denied, she had remained in the country lawfully by consistently checking in with immigration officials as required law.justia.com+10wsbtv.com+10ctinsider.com+10.

"This meant that at the time of her arrest:

  • "She was not undocumented—her presence in the U.S. was authorized through this administrative relief..."
