Iranian woman, who has lived in US for 47 years, taken by Ice while gardening

We didn’t destroy their democracy, they didn’t have one. They chose the Imam over the Sha. We don’t owe them a ******* thing.

WRONG!
Before 1953, Iran had regular democratic elections.
The US and the British ended that by bribing the Shad to take over and murder tens of thousands of innocent Iranians.

{...
The 1953 Iranian coup d'état, known in Iran as the 28 Mordad coup d'état was the overthrow of Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh on 19 August 1953. Led by the Iranian army and supported by the United States and the United Kingdom, the coup aimed at strengthening the autocratic rule of the shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi. A key motive was to protect British oil interests in Iran after its government refused to concede to western oil demands. It was instigated by the United States (under the name TP-AJAX Project or Operation Ajax) and the United Kingdom (under the name Operation Boot). This began a period of dissolution for Iranian democracy and society.
...}

The motivation of the US and the British was to steal the oil that the democratic government had nationalized.

The Shah was the dictator we imposed.
The Ayatollah was then the choice of the Iranian people when they forced the Shah out.
The Iranians would have preferred a return to a secular democracy like with Mosaddegh, but the Iranians did not trust a secular democracy to be strong enough since we had destroyed one before, so they instead went with the theocracy.
Its all OUR fault.

The woman can be deported. Claiming that the law is illegal is a desperate argument.

Wrong.
Lots of laws are illegal.
Slavery used to be the law, but it clearly violates basic principles of a republic so was still actually illegal.
What government says or does is not what determines what is truly legal or not.
That is why we periodically have to have revolutions, to fix bad governments.

She had a US citizen for husband and child, and its illegal to either break up the family or force the US citizens to leave as well.
So clearly she cannot legally be deported.

Even the clause claiming convenience marriages to become citizens break the law obviously is wrong. People have the inherent right to get married for any reason they want, including to become a citizen. Governments get no say in marriage.

“led by the Iranian Army”

Immigration fraud = you gotta go back Madonna.

She attempted to adjust her status through marriage to a US citizen, but was denied due to a past marriage the government deemed fraudulent.

What "fraud"?
She was honest over her past association with the Shah causing her risk in Iran.
And in fact, the US became responsible for her safety when they talked the Shah into his takeover.
When the US convinces a takeover and it fails, then the US has an obligation to the survivors.

She also honestly married a US citizen and had a US anchor baby.

Progressive love the huge and strong central government. There is a shady side though. In the WW 2 era our law enforcement, security, spy agencies, etc. were enacted into power and/or became much stronger. The CIA installed the Shah. When it comes to immigration here, like many other issues there are a few who can fall through the cracks. Progs have no problems using the megaphones when this happens. And we end up expanding agendas with huge resource increases for little improvement then repeat the process over and over.

Wrong.
Progressive favor local government over central government.
All individuals do, because your vote counts more the smaller the government.
The large corporations like central government more because it can more easily be bought or manipulated by media propaganda.

I grew up in WI with progressive governors and Milwaukee with progressive mayors, so have first hand experience.

The CIA is the least progressive aspect of any government, and was controlled by large corporations in order to increase oil profits. The total opposite of progressive.

was she here legally or illegally? that is the only issue that matters.

She was here legally under the US obligation to protect those the CIA has talked into the destruction of the Iranian democracy in 1953.

You really are in "The Twilight Zone," aren't ya, lol. And so, executing an out, and out, traitor is a bad thing? But, impeaching and calling a patriotic President a FACIST is a good thing, right.......lol.

Sigh, consistency is certainly NOT your forte-)

I disagree.
Since the British were the evil bad guy in both WWI and WWII, then a British citizen being against the British governments corruption, does not make him a traitor.
It was the British government who was the traitors against the British people.

Go back to facts.
The British supported the illegal assassination of Archduke Ferdinand and his wife, which caused WWI and WWII really.
The Allies won WWI by illegally starving the Germans into surrender while they still occupied France.
And clearly the Treaty of Versailles was so bad as to be criminal.

As for Trump's impeachments, even though I am far left, I agree they were illegal.
Trump had done nothing that merited impeachment.
The impeachments were illegal lawfare.

just one question: was she here legally or illegally? which?
Got a question for you. If people wanting to come here illegally hear more stories such as this, will it encourage them to come or discourage them from coming? The biggest problem for illegal immigration had been lots of stories of people flooding across the border and getting a bunch of benefits from border patrol helping them out of the water, free healthcare, lodging (sometimes in luxury hotels), people handing them water, free food, free phones, prepaid credit cards, and democrats backing them up in numerous ways including sanctuary cities and states. Now that stories such as this, being deported to El Salvador prisons, and many other horror stories, the flood of illegals heading to our border is close to non-existent.

An anchor baby does not give automatic legal status to the mother. A marriage of convenience can falsely harm other petitioners by cutting in line.

I disagree.
You cannot legally break up families.
An anchor baby does give automatic legal status to both parents.
It is how almost ALL the citizens of the US came to be citizens, since we almost all actually came from European invaders. If you do not recognize anchor babies as causing citizenship, then none of us are citizens except the original native American Indians.
Marriages of convenience are totally up to the individuals involved, and there should be no "line", so it harms no one. No one else gets any say over marriages.

It's likely a fake story. Or the office couldn't close the file cabinet because of her thick and on growing file in it. Someone said this is only going to get worse because she doesn't want to make it better. Time to get rid of her.

That makes no sense.
At her age, what could possibly be valid about her "file"?
It simply is illegal to arrest those who are not harming others, and it is illegal to break up families.
In fact, it is also illegal to break promises to the Iranians who did our takeover for us in 1953.

No, thats why we are kicking her out.

She's being deported because she's Iranian.

"Kashanian arrived in the US in 1978 on a student visa and later applied for asylum, citing fears of persecution due to her father’s ties to the US-backed Shah of Iran.

"Her asylum request was ultimately denied, but she was granted a stay of removal on the condition she comply with immigration requirements, a condition her family says she always met.

@ Elon Musk.

Here are 5 things I accomplished this week.

1. Obliterated Iran’s nuke program.
2. Defeated a Marxist Judicial Coup.
3. Became everyone’s Daddy.
4. Hit an all time S&P 500 high.
5. Deported Maryland Man again and 21K others.

1. Obviously the Iranians told us 20 years ago they knew about our bunker busters and had 2 easy methods to defeat them. One is to tunned too deep, but the second is to secretly tunnel sideways in unknown directions and distances.

2. Marxism is the realization that mass production economy of scale, causes the huge and evil potential for monopolies. So anyone who thinks Marxism is bad, does not know anything about it.

3. A daddy is only good if they have a emotional bond.

4. The stock market is a fraud and you are not buying anything at all when you pay for stocks really.

5. Kilmar is still in the US and will remain here legally.

So some scumbag leftarded member of Knesset says some stupid shit and, in the diminutive “mind” of Georgie, that makes it so.

What a maroon.

That’s like quoting AOC or Comrade Bernie to support some idiotic belief you happen to harbor.

You are :cuckoo:

It is well documented that Zionists have always been murdering native Palestinian babies.
The violence in Palestine started in 1946 when Menachem Begin blew up the British peacekeepers in the King David Hotel. He did this so the British could not stop his gangs from massacring hundreds of native villages like Deir Yassin. After Deir Yassin was captured by his gangs, the survivors were paraded through Jerusalem before being shot.
Albert Einstein was in Jerusalem, saw the babies being shot, and wrote letters about it to the NY Times, that can easily be read now.

I am Jewish, but if anyone thinks Israel is Jewish, they are mistaken.
Zionists are mostly from Poland and Russia, are of Turkic descent, and are atheists.

At the moment of her apprehension? So what?

She was in the side of the Shah and the US, not the side of the Ayatollah or even the democracy before the Shah.
So not only is there no reason to think she is a threat, we also owe her for the promises we made to those who did our takeover of Iran for us.

“led by the Iranian Army”

Yes, led by the US bribed Iranian military.
That is obvious since why else would the Iranian military that took over, suddenly give away all the oil to foreign companies like in the US and England?

Its no secret.
We long ago admitted we bribed the military takeover in Iran in 1953.
Anyone can look up Operation Ajax in wiki.

^An opinion. Even a congenital prevaricating asshole like you has an opinion. . . however, what mattesr is that you have no power to do more than talk.

While.

Israel/US Ass-Kicking of Islamicists never felt so good. Doubly so when those getting their asses kicked are asking for more. Boots are on the ground all over in Iran...

...during this ceasefire.

:)

Compare Zionism with Isam.
Islam, like in Iran, harms no one and stays in their own country for thousands of years straight.
Zionists invaded Palestine in the 1940s, blew up the British peacekeepers, massacred hundreds of thousands of native Palestinians, and stole over 90% of Palestine without paying, and illegal impose a starvation blockade for decades.

From the posted OP:

"She attempted to adjust her status through marriage to a US citizen, but was denied due to a past marriage the government deemed fraudulent."

A marriage of convenience is not at all fraud.
I bet over half the marriages in the world are "of convenience" where things accidentally happen, like a pregnancy, a desire for stable income, etc.
No one else gets to determine what is a valid reason for someone else to get married or not.
That is a dictatorship and not legal in any republic.

Except that the past success of the US has always been due to massive immigration in the 1800s.
Likely we will also need massive immigration in the future, to compete with China and India on economy of scale, to stop SS default, to pay down the national debt, etc.

If there is any reason why the US is imposing economic sanctions on Iran, that is proof then that her request for asylum is valid.
It is our rejection of her valid asylum request that was illegal.
