Iran demands to end the war

Key Iranian Demands and Positions:
  • Permanent End to Conflict: Iran demands a permanent ceasefire rather than temporary pauses, as stated by Foreign Minister Araghchi.
  • Security Guarantees: A primary demand is a guarantee against further aggression, including ensuring the war does not resume.
  • Lifting of Sanctions: Iran has insisted on the removal of all primary and secondary sanctions.
  • Strait of Hormuz Control: Iran seeks recognition of its sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz, including the right to impose tolls on ships.
  • Financial Reparations: Iran is demanding compensation for damages and war losses, often described as reparations.
  • Regional Withdrawal: A key demand includes the withdrawal of U.S. military forces from the region.
  • Protection of Allies: Ending Israeli strikes against Hezbollah in Lebanon is included in the reported 10-point proposal.

Seems that in spite of our Presidents claims that we are close to an agreement with Iran to end hostilities, we are not even close.

Trump has started a war that he doesn’t know how to get out of

Iran is in no position to dictate shit.

"Crippling?" What planet are you living on?
The planet I live on. Well, unlike you flipping MAGA retards, I know it is more than oil that moves through the Strait. First, there is Helium. Here, let me show you what happens when you have a shortage of Helium.

30% of the worlds Helium moves through the Strait. Prices have skyrocketed. And while the need for Helium in MRI creates some problems the real worry is that Helium is required for semi-conductor chip manufacturing.

Then there is fertilizer, again, prices have skyrocketed and those higher input prices are going to result in decreased production and higher fuel prices.

Yes, I think trump expected a quick victory

But its still early

Now we are concentrating on strangling Irans economically
Which really reflects how ignorant this damn administration is. Come on, Iraq has been under sanctions for years. Just how much worse can it get? Hell, the government was on the verge of collapse due to protests about the economy. Now, the people are rallying behind the government, now, the government can blame the US. Meanwhile,

The Iran war has significantly impacted the US economy, with initial costs estimated between $25 billion and $51 billion as of April 14, 2026. These costs include direct military spending, with one estimate showing $16.5 billion by the twelfth day of "Operation Epic Fury," and broader economic effects like $1.2 trillion wiped from US markets in a single day due to rising oil prices and global instability.

I don't know, but that seems a hell of a stupid move. We what, two months in and already we have spent 5% of Iran's total GDP. And those market losses, WTF, TWICE Iran's GDP. And even if the war ends tomorrow, we have yet to feel the full impact which will continue until next year.

Iran is using rope a dope.

So you recommend not trying to stop nuclear proliferation and not trying to prevent the ayatollahs from acquiring long range missiles and nuclear warheads to target US cities because we are suffering temporary inconveniences.

Clinton, Obama and Biden took military action without bringing us to war.

Bush lied to take us to war but sold it to the American people and Congress and then tied us up for 20 years

So you admit Clinton, Obama and Biden started military action against a soverign nation without congressional approval.

And you were ok with it.

I rest my case. Your TDS is deep.

Can we stop with the stupid? What part of mutually assured destruction do you not understand?

It was the right thing to do and long overdo

Obama and biden should have stepped up to the plate but failed to do so

Regime change is the only sure fix to the shia wacko threat

But Iran has no 2nd Amendment so the ordinary people have no guns

Which means it will take time for the blockade to drive the mullahs away to their foreign villas

The problem is, that by illegal and unprovoked aggression against non-nuclear states you're just destroying NPT. More aggressions you commit - more nations believe that they do need nukes to deter you. You don't like idea of nuclear Iran? What about nuclear Japan, nuclear Germany, nuclear Brazil and nuclear Mexico?

None of which ended in closing the Strait of Hormuz and crippling the global economy
That Trump is one dumfuk

It was Trumps decision without any support.

Now he is pointing to the mess he has created and demanding that others get him out of this.

We are looking at a Trillion dollar conflict with no way out

$2 billion dollars a day x 60 days is $120 billion before Mike Johnson gives him more money.

Article I, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution grants Congress the sole power to formally declare war, a power designed to prevent unilateral war-making by the President. While Congress has declared war 11 times (last in WWII), modern conflicts often use Authorization for Use of Military Force (AUMF) or the 1973 War Powers Resolution, which mandates that the President notify Congress within 48 hours of deploying troops and limits engagement to 60 days without legislative approval.

It started February 28th. 2 days Congress needs to decide.
