If anything, it should destroy the left come the midterms, but the deal has to be legit and long term meeting all requirements.

A certain "ally" will certainly do everything in its power to sabotage a "peace deal." Doesn't fit into the overall agenda.

How did Trump become the spokesperson for Israel ? Does he figure that everyone is just his yes men ?? Israel is an allie in that region, and not a controlled nation by the USA. The goal is to get rid of Iran's Nuke quest. But yes Hezbollah attacking Israel matters too. I just made a point of fact, not an argument. It would suck if this went on another year because Israel wasn't part of the peace process. Now that is an argument.

Why didn't we just send support and give the necessary tools to Israel to finish Iran themselves ?? Is there islamist in America who are influencing our government to intervene between Israel and it's attackers, and all in hopes to preserve the Islamist state and it's proxies in and around Iran ?

We are supplying Ukraine with the necessary tech and tools to push Russia back out of Ukraine, so I ask what is the difference in Ukrainians and Israelis ??????

What Trump is doing is surgical. No boots on the ground. Minimal US casualties. Using economics to bring Iran to it's knees and to the bargaining table. For the first time in 4 decades Iran isn't able to use closing the Straight of Hormuz as blackmail against the rest to the world. Trump realized that a blockade would quickly destroy what's left of the Iranian economy.

There will be a revolution in Iran. The mullahs and the IRGC have cratered the Iranian economy so bad that the everyday Iranian no longer sees them as reliable. The people don't have water. Their currency is worthless. Inflation is crushing. The social contract between the regime and the Iranian people has always been 'put up with our taking away your freedoms and we will make sure you're fed and housed.' The regime can no longer provide those things.

That's why they're called negotiations. Nothing is static--so things are changing through it all. Unfortunately there are quite a few 'never Trumpers' on this board that will disparage him regardless of what comes out in the end. These are the true enemies of the state. I don't like to get into win/lose in these types of things. When the country is so insanely polarized as it is and there are people actively trying to make it worse as the left obviously is---WE ALL LOSE and the country is weaker which leads me to believe the left is doing it purposely and it borders on treason. They should be focused on compromise and a way forward and not obstruction.

Best to just wait and observe what actually happens instead of speculating. The market seems to be responding positively--up ~700 and flirting with 52K and oil is down in the low $80/bbl range. Someone thinks positive things are in the works.
