Do members of Team MAGA approve of this?

Not true. Boots on the ground would be an instant win. The problem is, we have a weak society that cant stomach war, even if its in their own interest.
Spoken like a myopic, chicken hawk all too willing to see other people's children die in another interventionist war.

We sign up for war when we join the military. People who are citizens who didnt enlist are also allowed to have a say in it, even if they wont be going to war themselves. Thats democracy.

Proposed Iran-U.S. deal would reopen Hormuz strait and lift oil sanctions, Iran state media says

The U.S. and Iran could reportedly sign a peace deal as soon as Sunday, after Iranian state media said the draft deal included a commitment from the U.S. to lift oil sanctions and a commitment from Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz within 30 days.

The 14-point document dictates that final negotiations will not begin until the release of half of Iran’s frozen funds, the suspension of Iran’s oil sanctions, and the lifting of the naval blockade, the Mehr News Agency reported.

All American forces would need to withdraw from Iran, and the U.S. and its allies, would need to present reconstruction plans for Iran worth at least $300 billion, according to the report.

A peace deal could be signed in Switzerland as soon as Sunday, Bloomberg reported later on Friday, citing people familiar with the plans. It comes as world leaders gather for the G7 summit, which runs from June 15 to June 17 in Evian, in the French Alps.

Call me crazy, but that doesn't look like 'unconditional surrender' to me.

Trump demands 'unconditional surrender' from Iran as Putin speaks with Iran's president

Under the proposal Iran is getting half of its frozen assets back plus $300B to fix the damage done to it by the US and Israel. What does the US get FOR THE BILLIONS IT SPENT, THE LIVES LOST, AND THE SOLDIERS INJURED other than an agreement to go back to the status quo of having the Strait open to ships passing through it? You know, the way things were before Don and Bibi got out over their skis.

I'm sure I don't have to remind everyone how critical trump was of the JCPOA, calling it a horrible deal. A deal that also called for the unfreezing of Iranian assets so Iran, in the words of its critics, could fund regional terrorism.

So, how are you guys feeling about this epic failure?

The caveat to this thread being we've reportedly been close to a deal before. 38 times according to Don. So let's not count our chickens..........
Oh, I believe everything the Iran state media says.

Iran made out like a big fat cat.
Not yet. They get their oil moving, but nothing really happens until after the 60-day negotiations.
We all know Iran won't give up their enriched uranium, so I'm expecting more bombing....

It didn't work the first time....

So naturally it will work this time right?

What are the gulf states giving Iran money for btw?

Reconstruction I think.
IMHO no money will actually change hands, Iran might get their $24b, and sell some oil, but I don't see anyone just giving them $300b.

Me neither. I can see investments though. Vance used that term. Are we going to destroy the investments we are encouraging?

We didn't hit any of Iran's oil infrastructure, we just stopped tankers from selling it.
I think JD was trying to describe the $300b Iran wants, I doubt that will happen.
