Iran agrees to peace deal !

The United States and Iran have reached an agreement to end the war and open the Strait of Hormuz, offering relief to the global economy more than three months since fighting began.

Details of the deal were not immediately available. Key mediator Pakistan said the signing will be Friday in Switzerland. Key issues like Iran’s nuclear program are expected to be addressed later.

U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed a deal had been reached and said he had authorized an end to the U.S. naval blockade of Iranian ports in the Strait of Hormuz, imposed in retaliation for Iran’s grip on the crucial waterway.

Iran’s deputy foreign minister, Kazem Gharibabadi, confirmed the agreement on state television but said Iran would not start implementing it until it was signed on Friday. He said the deal followed over 14 hours of talks in Tehran with a representative from Qatar, another mediator.

Now we wait to see what really happens.

Deal is reached to end Iran war and Trump orders stop to US naval blockade
I have to confess, I don't understand how we have a deal if there are going to be further "negotiations". That doesn't sound like a deal to me. We have a deal when there are no more negotiations.

Signing a "deal" with the IRGC isn't like signing a deal with other countries or factions! They have a 40 year track record of breaking every deal they ever agreed to. This isn't going to be a one and done kind of thing. They're going to cheat. They'll be exposed for it and they'll have to be taught yet another lesson. Trump understands how to do that now. The blockade changes everything. It's a way to put pressure on a regime that doesn't care about the Iranian people. It's a way to do that without the loss of large numbers of American lives and rather quickly.

Understand however that the IRGC no longer has the luxury of stalling every conflict or negotiation knowing that their control of the Straight of Hormuz will make the rest of the world cave to their demands. The blockade has flipped that strategy on it's head.

Ooops! While I am sorry to see the US totally capitulate, I am glad to see this idiotic war end.
This war is not over. The Iranians will eventually break whatever agreement it is that they sign. They always do. The US's military presence will still be there in the Gulf. Iran will still be helpless to prevent them from resuming air strikes or imposing the blockade again. The Iranians will behave for a certain amount of time because they need the revenue from oil sales so desperately. The US and Israel will be watching...the same intelligence sources inside of Iran that gave up the locations of their leaders will be watching. My prediction will be six months and we'll be imposing a blockade again. This time there won't be a mid term election to save the regime in Iran. This time Trump can strangle their economy and finish what he started.

Part of the deal is we remove our navy.

So you don’t like the agreement? Why did Trump enter it?

Do you not grasp that Iran today is nothing like Iran was when Barry cut a deal with them? Their military is decimated. They have no air force. They have no navy. They have no air defense systems. They have no money to fund their proxies. The people are still pissed that the regime slaughtered 30,000 to 40,000 protesters in the streets just months ago. It's a regime teetering on the edge. THAT is what those 13 sacrificed themselves for! A chance to fundamentally change the Middle East for generations!

Contrast THAT with Iran when Obama tried to buy them off! Nothing in their military infrastructure was damaged. They were still taking in billions selling oil on the black market. Their people were relatively well off financially. They had jobs. They had food. They had water. They had electricity. Iran has NONE of that now and it's because of this military action against them.

Hilarious

It's a memorandum of understanding. Not a peace deal.

You do not think $300,000,000,000 can buy a pretty good military, and now they can sell oil on the open market, another $300,000,000,000. They keep the uranium.

Are you saying this was a good result to the Iran war.
