That depends on how reliable the USA is in meeting the terms of its agreements. If you continue to fail to honour your commitments, pull out of agreements, and tear them up, it's unlikely anyone will take any of your promises seriously.

This is the first time the US lost a war and had to pay war reparations in our history(we're paying $300b on top of unfreezing Iran's frozen assets). This isn't like Vietnam or Afghanistan were we just cut our losses and left. This deal objectively stops our power projection in the Middle East and solidified Iran as a regional power if not the regional leader and makes Iran the de-facto controller of the worlds oil supply until other refineries are create outside of the Persian Gulf.

This is an utter catastrophe from a national prestige standpoint as well as a political standpoint as we now need to come up with $300b out of nowhere.

Who says the war is over?
The US is not paying any money to Iran, that would be the Gulf states if any money actually gets paid.
Traffic is moving thru Hormuz, the global economy is thriving.

This war is not over. The Iranians will eventually break whatever agreement it is that they sign. They always do. The US's military presence will still be there in the Gulf. Iran will still be helpless to prevent them from resuming air strikes or imposing the blockade again. The Iranians will behave for a certain amount of time because they need the revenue from oil sales so desperately. The US and Israel will be watching...the same intelligence sources inside of Iran that gave up the locations of their leaders will be watching. My prediction will be six months and we'll be imposing a blockade again. This time there won't be a mid term election to save the regime in Iran. This time Trump can strangle their economy and finish what he started.

Trump is far more likely to break the Agreement before Iran does. He always does. Trump has a lousy record in adhering to the agreements he signs. Trump's tariffs on Canada and Mexico were a violation of the USMCA Agreement Trump says is a "stupid deal".

You'd better get used to the notion that NOBODY trusts the USA any more. Corporations and nations are refusing to make deals with the Trump Administration. Your Treasury Bonds aren't selling, and nations are selling off their existing US Treasury Bills as they mature, while we look for a more reliable base currency for the world.

There is no "somehow" about it. Their air force, navy and air defenses aren't even close to being "destroyed" regardless of what Trump tells you. They're still able to control the Straits of Hormuz and disrupt the world's economy.

Basically, this is a deal to re-open the Straits of Hormuz and Iran gets billions and billions of dollars for doing it, and all sanctions are gone. That's ALL that Trump has achieved. Given that the Straits were open BEFORE Trump declared war on Iran, you've gone backwards.

And to suggest that Trump did this "without bloodshed" is a flat out lie. How many Iranians died for Trump to lose this war. And while only 13 Americans died, hundreds have been wounded.

When 13 people died to save lives in Afghanistan, YOU called this the worst tragedy in the history of the USA. 13 people dying in Iran is nothing to you, and yet it was unacceptable when it happened under Biden.

This is the worst foreign policy blunder in US history.
