I'm just going to leave this right here, wow...

Most come from behind wins this season:

1) Blue Jays
2) Dodgers
3) Mariners

Kind of explains everything.

Since I’m currently living off grid in the middle of nowhere, New Brunswick (Atlantic time), I fell asleep watching the game. Woke up when the Mariners hit their 2nd home run, and then had my internet power run out.

My daughter texted me that they had won so I’ll watch the rest of the game today.

Jays and Dodgers World Series. Are you ready?
Im ready to see the cheating dodgers make short work of the jays,as someone else mentioned earlier, whoever faces the dodgers wont last long before being eliminated. They swept the brewers a very good team and would be in the series if the dodghers were not such cheating frauds. the only question is will the dodgers sweep the jays as well.they also got all the advantage with the extra rest.

Where are YOU posting from at 10:05 PM knowing the outcome of the game? The game didn’t end until nearly midnight EST.
Don't worry about me comrade, just worry about the Ontario economy.

I did what I could to avoid this. Even if I do say so myself I am the only class act in this campaign of abuse against me.

This ragtag bunch of overachievers won going away.

It happens for sure, I think they were crushed even worst against Arizona in the World Series, but still, in Yankee history they have not lost many playoff game by 9 runs.

The difference was the 6th inning when Yankees were down 2-0 and loaded the bases with 0 outs. They only scored 1 run.

So Toronto made it to the World Series. Fuckin A. Congrats. Man I wish the Tigers made it but if they are just going to lose to the Dodgers, whatever. But it is more money for the city. For Canada.

My dad pointed out that Toronto is the closest team to Detroit

230 miles Detroit to Toronto

170 miles Detroit to Cleveland (Oh shit he was wrong)

283 Detroit to Chicago

Point is, I didn't realize just how close Toronto is to us

855 miles Detroit to Minnesota

382 miles Detroit to Milwaukee

If the Blue Jays win the World Series, will it hurt U.S/Canadian relations?

:stir:

Blake Snell. Very spotty career. Not many innings over 10+yrs. Some playoff innings (excluding 2025).

Suddenly he is unhittable? CY Snell? Or did MIL just panic into a slump? Interesting.

Only 2/10 seasons at 180 innings. Only 61 innings this yr for LA.

Can TOR score even 1 or 2 runs in the first 5 innings off unhittable Snell? For the game? Will panic pressure set in looking up at zeos?

Where is TOR pitching? The best option is a kid with 3 MLB starts?

LA is loaded with EXP (and playoff experience) ballplayers. A rookie is not going to blow them away, is he?

TOR needs G1. BIG UNDERDOGS have a better chance to win the series winning G1 (and at home). With a loss at home? UGH.

Is it a must win? Will they be swept if they don't win G1? Or a gentleman's sweep losing 4-1.

Horrible questions for TOR.

Given that Toronto leads MLB in “come from behind wins” in 2025 and came from behind in each of the last two games of the Seattle series, “looking up at zeroes” hasn’t really been an issue all season long.

The Jays’ most productive inning this season has been the 7th inning. 3rd time through the order is often the charm. Getting into the oppo’s bullpen is another opportunity.

All those zeroes? The Jays have one of the lowest strikeout ratios in all of baseball. They wear out good pitching all day long driving up the pitch count, and then get into the bullpen early.

It’s going to be a battle and the Jays really do want it all and they want it now.

Look at this kid’s numbers in 3 starts. He was just signed right out of college and sent to Single A ball at the start of the season. Now he’s Toronto’s Game 1 starter in the World Serious!

Too bad he doesn’t have enough games to qualify for “Rookie of the Year”.

4 times there have been a World Series where one team swept and the other went 7 games, and all 4 were won by the team that played 7 games.

That further proves that having a lot of time off is bad for the team waiting.

Are you not entertained!?

I had no idea the Dodgers were 1-11 in game 1's, and about to be 1-12.

I'd keep your champagne on ice, for now.
This is all we have as Canadians man. I'd rather be making bank and helping the poor out, making right with G-d. Each hit or win is amplified at the moment. Win or lose, I have bigger life problems, so it's an escape. Jays have one fewer hit than Brewers had their entire series against the Dodgers.

It's a great start and Bichette playing is huge, I had no idea he was only behind Judge for BA after the All Star break, he is a huge add to this team.

The only thing on ice at my house is fresh mountain spring water.

I think last night’s game demonstrates in spades why Trey Yesavage, a rookie with 3 major league starts to his name, was the starting pitcher in Game 1 of the WS. That was evident when he struck out Ohtani in the first inning. See also pitching out of a bases loaded jam.

I don’t usually fall for “flash in the pan” rookies but Yesavage is looking like the real deal every time he takes to the mound. He’s made me a believer.

Also, Snell didn’t look “unhittable” at all.

You probably have real ice outside where you live, here in the midwest, it has not dipped below freezing yet, but only by a degree or two, it's not far off.
