I'm just going to leave this right here, wow...

The Blue Jays have selected Queen’s ā€œI want it allā€ as their post season theme song. They want it all and they want it nowā€.

That goes for their fans too.

Should have been 2 outs, instead Wells gets on base, Grisham walks, and then Judge smashed a 3 run homer next at bat.

Interesting game tonight, a bullpen game, do you save Yesavage for game 5? A lot of people say that's a bad idea, a lot of your relievers are on short rest.

Dodgers / Blue Jays, the two best teams I've watched so far.
It used to be just the yankees all by themselves as the team that represents everything that is wrong with baseball always having the highest payroll but the dodgers are now right there side by side with them as a team that represents everything that is wrong with baseball along with the Astros.

I’d really rather see Gausman pitching than Yesavage, impressive as he has been.

When the Jays won back to back in '92 and '93 they had the largest payroll by far as I recall.

Capitalism I guess. We also benefited from the new Skydome which brought in 4M fans a year at that time.

The baseball press sniped that Cito Gaston wasn’t deserving of any awards for managing that team because the Jays had so much talent on the roster he just had to make sure not to **** it up.

And yet very few other ā€œhighest salaries in baseballā€ teams have been successful.

We’re hearing that Yesavage is in the bullpen tonight.

One down. Yankees are wondering how it all happened...to the Jsys whp.were 60-1 faves preseason.
Still wondering on one level, but we know on another level.

I grew up in Brooklyn and was raised on this team. Everyone knows management is piss poor from the top down. Boone is nothing but a yes man. The bad decisions he makes in the regular season can be masked in June-July-Aug because you are playing lesser competition. But you can't mask the poor decision making when playing better teams in October.

It started in 2018 when Boone left in Severino when he should have been yanked in the ALDS. They end up losing something like 16-1. Chad Green was rolling against Houston in ALCS. What does Boone do? He pulls him. Then there was the time Happ and Holmes contradicted Boone about their play. And who could forget a not ready Cortes giving up the walk-off grand slam to Freeman last year in extra innings with the Yanks leading.

If Cashman wants a puppet, then buy a dog. Cashman the know it all should just insert himself in the dugout if he's going to script Boone. Steinbrenner is a disgrace and should sell the team.

yeah but still back then in the early 90's the small market teams could STILL compete with the big market teams, the pirates just barely missed out on going to the series i think it was 90 or 91,they are as small market as you can get.

with the exception of the cubs in 2016,,that was the last time i watched the world series matter of fact was back then in 92.

I am pulling for the jays in the American league to go to the series and the Brewers from the National league and for the Brewers to win it all of course if they even get that far, gotta pull for the small market teams.

But im sure it will be the dodgers and jays so that will be a no brainer that i will be pulling for the jays to win it all. If it were the astros or yankees and the dodgers as we all expect it to be,could care less who of those 3 teams won, hate all 3 of them equally obviously.

Heaven knows I haven't watched much baseball since my White Sox won it 20 yrs. ago; coincidently over Houston B4 they got good while still in the NL! Clemens was still hangin' on! šŸ˜•  :stir:
Fiero425 surely you arent going to tell me you did not watch the world series between the cubbies and Indians? surely you were pulling for the cubbies to win it all as the entire America who was not an Indians fan was? thank god that one batter in the 9th inning did not straiten out his swing barely missing hitting like a 2 or 3 run homer that barely went foul which would have won the world series for the indians and the cubs would STILL be cursed without a championship for what would be over a century now. Every Cubs rooter in the countrys hears stopped that night.

i would have figured that you would badly been rooting for the cubs in that series, that if the white sox were not in the series, then you would pull for the cubs? just like in new york,if the yankees are not in the series, then yankee fans pull for the mets to win it all and in vice versa.

You'd be surprised! I wasn't even aware the Cubs won initially! I never watch local news & the politics of 2016 ran me off! I was more than disgusted w/ how things turned out needless to say! After the election I shut down completely for months! I never watched the Cubs even when good 10 yrs. ago! Now they're at it again; finished off San Diego & are now working on Milwaukee! :stir: :dunno::rolleyes: :p

You gotta love the Jays chances against either Detroit or Seattle, I expect Seattle to put up a fight but the Jays will make it to the WS.

The difference between this team and the 92/93 teams is that this team is more ā€œhome grownā€. Vladdy and Bo came up together through the Jays farm system. They won championships together at every level.

Bo may not have played in this series but his performance throughout this season has been stellar in every regard. He’s a good part of why they won the division.

There’s been a lot of discussion about Vladdy’s big contract but he certainly earned every dollar in the Jays/Yankees series.

I don’t begrudge him the money. Vladdy is a guy I cheerfully pay to watch play!

Is Bo done for the postseason? I forgot all about him.
