I'm just going to leave this right here, wow...

You probably have real ice outside where you live, here in the midwest, it has not dipped below freezing yet, but only by a degree or two, it's not far off.

We haven’t even had a hard frost here, much less ice. We were under a burn ban until this week due to the heat and drought.

Ottawa had snow yesterday. We’ve hardly had our stove going it’s been so warm.

Blue Jays have thier wings clipped by Yamamoto and his complete game,.5-1. I hope the anti-tariff commercials played in the U.S didn't hurt our mojo. Dodgers might play a little bit harder now.

Jays lose in the 18th inning. This one is going to sting especailly when we had 2nd and 3rd in the top of the inning

I fell asleep when the score was 4-2. Imagine my shock to wake up this morning and learn that the game had gone on until 3:00 am. Losing was the least shocking thing about it.

This loss is nothing. Keep an eye on the economy of the province of Ontario.

I'm just the Messenger.

Welp I stayed up and watched the last 7 innings of WS3 last night. I love baseball strategy and that was an all-time classic. I like to try and think along with the coaches and pitchers since I used to coach and my son pitched all the way up to pro-Independent ball. Great game would have loved to see Toronto win it but had to just marvel at the greatness of Ohtani. Freeman walked it off after a mediocre night hitting, but Ohtani hit the critical tying home run late in the 7th. And oh yeah he set 3 major league records including getting on base 9 out of 9 plate appearances.

TOR should have walked him 9 times perhaps. Go home a winner.

TOR also never seemed to cut down swings and put it in play enough when really needed. Always swinging for the fences after they coughed up the lead. Everybody trying to hit the winning HR in the last 9 innings. When runners could also cause havoc.

Overlooked: the home plate ump killed TOR in that first inning possibly costing them the game. That pitch was way high and a very weak call leaving batter stunned and Bichette (and 1B coach) hung out to dry.

Granted, they had more chances after but could maybe have gotten a 2-4 run lead right away? Never know. The ump took it away.

MLB will probably change rules again. Every 2nd IBB puts the batter at 2B. Then 3B on the third IBB.

Then they will throw 4 junk balls like 1995 again. Then more rules will pop up. The old game is no good. Got to change it.

Will Smith did not try to get out of the way to be hit by slow breaking ball. UMP let it go. Yeah, it was close I guess. Jays got very little help?

Once they go q5 full inning tied they could halt the game? Call it a tie? Replay it from scratch as Game 8 if needed? Or resume it from the stop point? Might hurt some millionaire arm if he throws more than 80 pitches over 2 nights in a row or something?

That is why the pitch challenge system is coming in 2026, to stop games from being decided by bad ball and strike calls.

One of my friends decided to get a ticket to the home games this weekend. He went to a game in the Divisional Series, and two games in the ALCS series.

The cheapest seats are in the 5th deck. $1,950 each. The lower bowl tickets selling for more than $4300 each. He’ll be watching it on TV like the rest of us.

I gather you now understand why Yesavage was given the start in Game 1 and Game 5.

He was called up due to late season injuries in the starting rotation. At first I thought he was just another flash in the pan rookie who had an amazing first start based on adrenaline and lack of nerves. He beat the Yankees at home and set a Jays record for strikeouts by a rookie pitcher.

By his 3rd start, Yesavage had made a believer out of me.

Yesavage is making the history books tonight, aint he? This Dodgers team don't have the juice, Toronto has got this WS wrapped up.

It ain't over 'til it's over. Yamamoto shut down the Blue Jays offence the last time he pitched.

I'll be picking up some ginger beer tomorrow, and the vodka will be on ice for Friday's game, just in case.

We will see next year if he is for real or a flash in the pan. Teams will have a book on him. They will never take away what he has done, it now has to be consistency.

the sad thing is we all know he wont last as a Blue Jay very long. within five years the asshole yankees, astros or dodgers will snatch him up,you just watch. will be sooo sweet to see the jays take down the top dollar dodgers.
:yes_text12: thats was so bittersweet a couple years ago when the small market devil rays took down the big market yankees AND astros,if that would only happen ALL the time.:yes_text12:

would have been even MORE sweet had they pulled off the trifecta and beat the DODGERS in the world series as well, now THAT would have been a dream come true that year.
a cinderalla story ending.

It's always fun to see people rise to the occasion on the biggest stage, and YeSavage has done just that. OTOH, someone like Mookie Betts, someone with Hall of Fame credentials, has completely disappeared, you can tell he is not out there fighting and clawing for a hit like that entire Jays team is doing.

His absence in this WS is what is killing this Dodgers team.
