AUSTIN, TX — As the richest man in the world approaches a net worth of $1 trillion, Musk confirmed that he would soon have enough money to officially become the Batman.

"A day is coming soon where I will be able to say, ‘I'm Batman,' and it's going to be amazing," Musk said during a Tesla shareholders meeting. "I will be the hero Austin deserves, but not the one it needs right now. It will be pretty cool."

Musk confirmed he was actively training in various forms of martial arts and interviewing potential sidekicks while he waited for his wealth to grow to appropriate Batman levels.

"I've got a cape already. It's a cool cape. Very black," Musk said. "But I need all the gadgets. People don't realize most of Batman's money goes into the gadgets. While Bruce Wayne is always referred to as a billionaire, being Batman in real life requires far more financial resources than a few billion dollars. I will soon have that covered."

Elon Musk has consistently ranked at the top of Forbes magazine's annual "Richest Men Most Likely To Become Batman" list, just ahead of actor Daniel Radcliffe and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.

"I am happy as a normal human can be for Elon," Zuckerberg relates to the press amid his standard series of beeps and boops. "I must now settle for being Iron Man or some other inferior rich superhero."

Investors expressed concern that Musk's ambitions to become the Caped Crusader would interfere with his myriad businesses. Musk was able to assuage their fears, however, by pointing out that Batman is a secret identity and no one will know it's him.

At publishing time, a psychotic man dressed as a clown robbed a bank and killed several people before being taken out by a masked vigilante who reportedly tracked him via Starlink.

Thanks for the SpaceX IPO launch, as of a few hours ago, Elon officially became the world's first trillionaire.
Yeah, the expected starting point was $135 but it opened at $150 and last time I looked it was at $165. I thought about buying 10 shares to play with and didn't, SMH.

I bought $1800 about 20 minutes ago. At one point I was up 0.55% and now I'm down 2.17%.

Capitalism is an efficient system for transferring wealth from one group to another. That's why there are simultaneously a trillionaire and two billion people living on $2 a day on the planet.

Good. We could use a Batman right now.

Seems China suffers the same problem.
As of 2026, China has approximately 0.288 billionaires per million people. This reflects the country's significant number of billionaires relative to its large population.

Then as "Batman" who about he organizes another group of Whistleblowers from Utah who talk about Nikola Tesla and Stanley Meyer type technology that is Hidden under Utah?

Then he could hire near death experiencer Cody Leatherbury as a "Consultant" on a proposed semi-reality science fiction film series where Elon Musk and Cody Leatherbury go back to 1840.... grab The Prophet Joseph Smith.... and take him to 2026 or 2027 or however soon this could be organized?

An alternative universe where Mitt Romney became The White Horse President would be helpful in this proposed series as well?

What you ignore is those people living on 2 dollars a day wouldn't even be alive were it not for capitalism.

Capitalism is even more efficient at creating wealth. The trillionaire didn't become one because he stole $500 from each of the 2 billion.

In fact the reverse is more true - those 2 billion have that $2 and not $1.50 or $1.75 or whatever because the trillionaire created new wealth.
