For example: I said Stephen Douglas and Abraham Lincoln were white racists. Just as the Jim Crow Black Codes in Illinois were white racist.

My view that they were white racism is based upon facts. So, what is your view of Stephen Douglas and Lincoln and Jim Crow in Illinois before the War? Based on the 'facts' of history.

I have almost finished the book 'Dark Union'. It is quite an eye opener to the character of the 'Union' in that day. 'Dark' is the correct word. Greed, and murder best describe the Yankee way.
