If I Had Been President of the Confederacy. . . .

Ah, now we see the real racism come out. Just admit you hate black people and that's why you are sorry the South Lost.

For about one generation, that was pretty much over by 1876, that's when the inbreds started imposing Jim Crow laws, miscegnation laws, voter suppression, debt peonage and all the other crap to try to keep black people down.

Nope, the south was a shithole then. That's why you lost the war. Because eventually, you ran out of stupid inbreds willing to take bullets.

I have no problem with racism. And I have no problem hating dumbasses like you. Why can't you admit you dumbass white Yankees were as racist if not more so than the South. Why do you ignore my questions about those Yankee Jim Crow Black Codes. You aint got the balls to admit it. Typical Yankee bullshit.

Well, dumbass, it was after the Reconstruction that the Jim Crow laws were needed. To clean up the shit you Yankees left behind. You don't seem to realize, the Reconstruction became the Second half of that War. And we run yalls ass back up North. And Yall ran so fast you left your free blacks behind. But yall didn't care, you stole all you could and made your money and filled up that carpet bag.

Yup, the Yankee shit and git. Steal what they can and leave the problem to someone else to solve. But blame them for it all. You are your fathers sons. Just like them.

I agree that Ft Sumter provoked the war. Good point about feeding and supplying US forts to show good faith.
But it should not have provoked the war. It was a bloodless attack, and the fort's garrison was given full military honors and allowed to return home. That was hardly an incident that justified the draconian Northern response. Even England was not so trigger happy in response to Patriot acts of violence before the Revolutionary War started.

But as long as the South maintained slavery, it is Lipstick on a Pig. Other nations could not treat the Confederacy as legitimate.
Actually, England, France, and Spain treated the Confederacy as legitimate, granting it belligerent status, a status just a notch below full diplomatic recognition and enabling the Confederacy to purchase arms and supplies in those countries and in their territorial holdings and ship them to the CSA.

Maintaining slavery was the reason for the Confederacies existence. Moving towards emancipation would never have happened. Just look at how the South embraced Jim Crow for a hundred years after the war.
Sigh. . . . The Confederacy began a program of emancipation in March 1865. Maintinaing slavery was not the sole reason for the Confederacy's existence. The Confederate Constitution even allowed for the admission of free states to the Confederacy and banned the overseas slave trade.

As for Jim Crow, much of the blame for that falls squarely on Radical Reconstruction.

The CSA was already buying arms from Britain, until it ran out of money.

They were not going to force the blockade for the slave states.

It was an artillery attack against a U.S. fort……an act of war
When you fire cannons at someone, your intent is to kill. The fact that it didn’t is no excuse
