Thats not what their regulations say.Sure, California wants to transition to EVs, but not before a viable alternative is in place.
Did president Musk tell you that?Thats not what their regulations say.
No, the CARB regulations. You should try reading them, then you won't be su h and ignorant clod.Did president Musk tell you that?
They set a dateSure, California wants to transition to EVs, but not before a viable alternative is in place.
Are you sure? That sounds like something President Musk would say.No, the CARB regulations. You should try reading them, then you won't be su h and ignorant clod.
We don't know everything will be ready by then, but it is a reasonable target date that can and will be reconsidered closer to the target. You don't think there is time to adjust as needed as we become closer to that date? They set a date
How do they know everything will be ready by then?
Greenies are acting very reckless

EVs are a fool's errand for anyone drives any distance at all.
Hybrids are the way to go.
WrongThe electric component in the hybrid is so incosequential as to be practically useless only adding to the cost of the vehicle and contributing pretty much nothing in return.
If only there were some way for only people whose relatively short commutes and lack of interest in long trips would buy electric vehicles while people who make long commutes or other long trips would buy gas-only vehicles.Long trips do take some planning ahead but smart cars will navigate you to the closest charging station.
The good side is you can commute 80 miles back and forth to work, throw the car on the charger overnight and start over with a full charge every day. Never have to visit a gas station
It is a change in mindset
Wrong
So, it wasn't helpful to you and your daily long trips. Big deal. My daughter mostly just drives her hybrid around town and only about 6 miles to work. It's great for her and is even able to make occasional longer trips to Houston or San Antonio without any concerns. People buy what works best for them. You don't understand that?I drove one for a month.... A Toyota..... It was an SUV. Distance driving is done 90% by the gas engine. A full charge on the battery pack only gives a 25 mile range. While charging the battery as you're traveling Gas consumption is increased.... naturally due to the generator.
For the one month that I drove it back and forth to a distance job as a favor to my employer
The electric component was virtually unused.

Not true at all. In fact in hypercars it is THE way to go for four wheel drive. The engine powers the rear wheels, and the front wheels are driven by dedicated motors. The electric component in the hybrid is so incosequential as to be practically useless only adding to the cost of the vehicle and contributing pretty much nothing in return.

The performance is amazing.
Not just that but it is the lightest way to get a power train on a wheel. Imagine all the mechanical linkages for a four wheel drive system.Sure... You store up energy as you go and release it all at once when you need it. The Hp increase is massive.

Poof, gone. Hybrids rule Le Mans.
Hybrids have their place.
