I was stranded in an EV at midnight. Progressives don't want you to know about my nightmare

Indeed, and equity seems such a socialist term now

perhaps a fair shot at the brass ring?

help me out Natty

Well, you'll need a lobbyist, Sparky. One of those slick types who wear those pointy shoes and pinstripe suits.

We used to have this concept where we sent representatives to government on our behalf, but once they got there they all figured out how things really worked and they all started becoming millionaires and suddenly didn't care about who they were sent to represent any more.

It's a heck of a thing.

Nope. Not collectively speaking anyway. And they're 34 trillion in the hole. They're coming into this world doomed from the start.
I wish them luck, especially if they don't get a clue, as they will need it.

If they weren't so expensive EVs would be OK for city commuting. Especially if you have a garage where the vehicle could be charged every night.

EVs are terrible for commercial use and any distance driving. Terrible for use in cold weather and hilly terrain.

All i do is install EV chargers , mostly for the well heeled, but some for the mid class.

Our local poco actually gave away chargers for years, as long as they could manipulate them (digital meter required) under peak load

It's a bit of a throwback coming back, if you understand off-peak metering the old electric H20's ran on'

Bottom line, we've an aging infrastructure most poco's have done the math......

My son lives in an upscale Atlanta suburb. He has a Tesla and uses it for his daily commute. He had a charging station installed in his garage. I think he said it cost $1500. There are some special rates for over night charging that makes it economical. He says that on the road charging is about the same cost as buying gas.

90% stupid and gullible .
What did you expect of our pathetic species ?

But the nerve they had in working out that Normies and Sheeple are that challenged is worth some respect .
So do not under rate the trash .

BECAUSE being evil does not mean being stupid .

Them's the brakes. Life, sometimes does not go usually to plan.

She should sue the rental company. Not castigate the entire EV industry because she was a fool for relying on dumb luck instead of power to get her to the finish line.

I hope you find yourself in a similar situation.

Yes, but never closed minded and always open to science evolving to discover the facts.

As has the CC evolved to accept D.evolution.

Then Open your mind to the fact that the mandate and Rush to convert to E.V's has led to the massive increase of pollution and habitat destruction for battery production. EV vehicles are fine when they are needed but all the research and development for the battery systems is still not complete enough to fill the world with these polluting vehicles. And yes I call them polluting vehicles. The process of manufacturing them and the fact that the electricty is still coming from power plants that pollute, negates any benefit you think you feel about their benefit to the environment.

All vehicles pollute to some extent. The world has chosen to reduce hydrocarbon pollution by turning to EV's. But we all need to come to the understanding that they will only be a part of the solution. I've made the point several times that EV's can't replace gas and diesel vehicles 1 for 1.
What do you think?

so she ran out of gas...

And it’s liberals fault.
A little research would have revealed the problems EVs have.

The Democrats who always say they are far better educated and intelligent than conservatives should have done that basic research before pushing EVs so hard.

The solution is to stop pushing EVs so hard and compromise with hybrid vehicles. Eventually EV technology will improve dramatically and charging stations will be common. Plus with luck the price will fall for these vehicles.

I think it might be an eventuallity, but a very long time from now. A completely different type of battery will be needed. Lithium will be a dead end in the evolution of EV's IMO

Meantime, we need to have an economy if we intend to do research and devolopment for the future, which makes it seem pretty fool hardy the way politicians and others jumped on the bandwagon to try and remake our transportation industry in a very short amount of time..... without really understanding the science of things themselves.

EV's don't reduce pollution.

They INCREASE pollution.

Americans for the most part will only accept AGW after they have a bad experience. A lot of people in florida became believers overnight.

There is no AGW. There is normal climate change. The climate is always changing. You anti science types are your own worst enemies.

This is just another issue that will be decided by the eruption of the political divide into violence.
All the issues such as gun control, abortion, climate change, racism, and the others will be settled by violence and visions of secession by the right.l

The left and the right can't live together with their differences.

No, you have it wrong, as usual. You leftists push and push, and kill millions until finally the people rise up and kill you in self defense.
