I laugh at you stupid democrats, because you are lied to all the time, and never figure that out. News about Electric Cars.

Nothing says "chestnuts roasting on an open fire" like a 1000-lb lithium battery burning a city block to the ground.

I don't trust the "scientific expertise" of something with a degree in "17th Century Cocksucking" and an ankle monitor that goes off when it's within a 500' radius of an elementary school.

America agrees with me, 312-226.

There's no way to sugarcoat it.... I don't give a **** what this drooling retard has to say.

Uh, no, that's what the batteries are for.

They store energy.

And I would like to know who fooled you into thinking the air temperature has anything to do with the incoming solar radiation. That was pretty silly of you to say.
EV batteries lose about 40% capacity in cold, nimrod.
Range and running time are cut effectively in half.

In the UK, the green group celebrated as we finally stopped burning coal to produce electric. A popular form of electric production is burning household waste instead. A recent study found burning household waste is more polluting than burning coal. So the green group have achieved the goal of polluting the planet to a greater extent!!
Now hold up, they were burning that stuff anyway, right?
So using it to make electricity cuts out the burning of coal, so there's really less pollution.

How does taxing Chinese import change this ... did that stop small Japanese pick-ups from being sold in the United States ...
It did

As you point out Toyota opened a factory in the US to build pickup trucks

Thats a win for America since in my opinion the Japanese build good stuff and we have learned from them

But what works for a friend and ally like Japan is not ok for an enemy like communist china

I dont want china to do business in America at all

That may not come to pass, but the less we trade with china the better

Nothing to hold up. In the climate alarmist excitement in reducing coal electric plants, household waste incinerators have been causing greater pollution -

The number of incinerators surged - in the past five years the number in England alone has risen from 38 to 52. About 3.1% of the UK’s energy comes from waste incinerators.

Have you stopped buying things made in China? ... are you paying that price already? ... I just went through this with a field microscope purchase ... all the optics are Chinese these days ... do you think slapping a 1000% protective tariff will make folks buy university-grade microscopes? ... or will folks stop buying microscopes for fun? ...

I'm old enough to remember when "Made in Japan" was code for "cheapest crap possible" ... before Nixon opened China ... today, "Made in China" is code for the "cheapest crap possible" ... in the future, some other shithole country will make the "cheapest crap possible" ...

Repeal minimum wage and we can pay 50¢ a day to Americans to make the "cheapest crap possible" ... 100 years ago, Louisiana made the "cheapest crap possible" until Mississippi got paved roads ... is that better? ...

Outlaw dollar twenty-five stores ...

I think the household waste is the greater pollution ... burning it still pollutes but far far less that the waste itself ... or does the UK have an abundance of landfill space ...

Or do you pay the Chinese to dump it in the oceans ...

You evidently live only for today and cant see past your nose

I wish we made more stuff in America and that remains a goal

But if you must have a lower price than America can offer why not by from Thailand, or India?

Anywhere is better than buying from china

In the 70's, I remember going to the landfill site with my dad. You threw all your rubbish over a low concrete wall and into a pit. There was a large Cat doza taking the rubbish out onto a field and crushing it down, then it was covered over in soil. Then the government and local councils decided to wage war on waste. So fly tipping is going through the ceiling. Each council has it's own recycling system. So there's a combination of green bags, green boxes, black bins, green bins, red bins, blue bins, brown bins, tiny food waste bins, the list is endless. Where I live, the council don't take glass, so either take it to the glass bank at the local supermarket, or put it in the general waste bin that goes to landfill. We have a small green bin for food waste, I asked the guys on the truck one morning what they do with the food waste. He said it gets buried!!

It's all about methane with landfill, so all this chaos over landfill and recycling means everything has gone backwards due to incinerators.

That's for We the People to decide ... not for the government to impose on us ... do you really want to give Democrats more tax money? ... is American labor no better than third world shitholes? ...

International trade is a federal government issue

Tariffs are not something new

They have been used since 1789

No one will get everything they want here, including me

Many people demand the lowest possible price

And are willing to sell their soul to china to get it

But we can have low chinese prices without buying from china

To be clear .. I don't buy things from China ... my advocacy is conservation so consumer goods are generally out ... we're not importing things from China that I buy ... there's a few exceptions but only when cost is a major concern ... if it wasn't for the Chinese product, I wouldn't buy ... that doesn't help American jobs ...

I'm pleased the Trump Administration killed that Pan-Pacific Free Trade Agreement ... that was so bad, no one talks about it anymore ... as a liberal, not a Democrat, I can acknowledge when conservatives are right ... here I think you're mostly right, but have a care ...

Tariffs are an impediment to the free market ... and should be confined to punishing China for unfair trade practices ... trade wars work both ways ... cut trade with China and Midwestern soy bean farmers go bankrupt ... unless we start eating a lot of tofu ... ewwwwwwww ...

You let me know when somebody shows up to take your gasoline powered car.
California wants them gone.

Try and keep up, dodo.

Noone wants anything gone until a suitable replacement is in place.
Bullshit. California has already banned ICE powered trucks starting in 9 years.

How ignorant are you?

Gas cars aren't going away until a suitable replacement is available. Quit whining.

I'm not whining. I'm stating facts.

Which you choose to ignore.

As always, you are just whining. Are you still an expert on everything, like you claimed before?
Far more than you.

You don't know even the basics, so compared to you I'm an Einstein.
