Trump said on Tuesday that he ultimately chose to pause Project Freedom due to “the fact that Great Progress has been made toward a Complete and Final Agreement with Representatives of Iran.”

The president later warned that if Iran does not come to the negotiating table, “the bombing starts,” with US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth echoing Trump’s warning.

“We prefer this to be a peaceful operation, but are locked and loaded to defend our people, our ships, our aircraft, and this mission without hesitation,” Hegseth said.

Are we even sure who has the authority to make a deal with us?

I take it "the bombing starts" is what Saudi Arabia and Kuwait wanted to hear....

Trying to " Stay out of it" hasn't worked for them..
This could get good....

The Sauds have a pretty good air force...hmmmm

Where do you get this kind of fantasy from? You must believe that you have an incredible brain. Must be another Stable Genius.

It doesn't really matter if you just make up whatever you want your cult to believe.

You can say you're making great progress, and if nothing actually happens, then simply say you don't know who is in charge.

Then, like now, you can say you're making great progress: Trump said on Tuesday that he ultimately chose to pause Project Freedom due to “the fact that Great Progress has been made toward a Complete and Final Agreement with Representatives of Iran.”

Then: The president later warned that if Iran does not come to the negotiating table, “the bombing starts,”

See? All the bases are covered. Making great progress getting them to come to the negotiating table? Maybe?
The winning from day one will never end.

With Hormuz closed the Gulf states are shipping less oil, its time for the "Break Glass" option with Project Freedom...

Making things worse for no good reason was good for you? So you want more?
Is that a corollary to, "it's better to do something bad than admit a mistake?"

You know his method of creating problems only he can fix, doesn't work when he can't fix it. Normally, there will be someone to put the squeeze on for his own benefit.

This time, it's looking more like another bad bet. And you're picking up the tab.

(pootie-poot and netanyahoo aren't upset, tho.)

Well, if there is no one in charge, I say plant the American flag and tell everyone there to migrate to France and Germany. A huge oil reserve is ours. Next stop Iraq!
We already control Iraqi oil sales

It all routes through the Federal Reserve

I thought:

We won

Iranian Uranium program was obliterated

The GCC sided with the USA because we promised to protect them

Operation Epic Fury was over

How is the Gulf states helping with regime change in Iran "making things worse"?
You think the Artesh (regular army) would defend the IRGC when the sh!t starts?

Iran is an easy problem to fix, just not a quick fix like Maduro. Not a big tab either, just light target practice.

If the Saudi flipped and will not allow the US to use their air space, Trump might actually have to stand down and leave.

The wild card is will his Boss in Tel Aviv. Much like how he killed the negotiators in March, Bibi likely has other plans

Interesting! But the population remains there and is a cost. Seeing that Europe is so in love with muslims, especially the UK, France and Germany, we should get the population to migrate. Start with the violent criminals in jail.

Geopolitically, this is good experience for when things blow up with China. The American military is now battle tested, and China has never fought a major war in the modern era. Let's hope it doesn't immediately go nuclear, but I think it will.

I don't think it would go nuclear, that would make a total mess of the planet.

I don't think we can bomb our way to an agreement. We've done enough damage over there. I'm sure the rest of the world looks at us (and Israel) in horror.
