The AC and furnaces went up because they could, all for the trade war we had with China.

It bombed but the steel hasn't come down.

After the trade war escalated through 2019, in January 2020 the two sides reached a tense phase one agreement; it expired in December 2021 with China failing by a wide margin to purchase American goods and services as agreed. By the end of the Trump presidency, the trade war was widely characterized as a failure.

China–United States trade war - Wikipedia

---------------------------------In 2007 Bush Jr. made a law there couldn't be any more 80% efficiency furnaces. Whether if the republican gets in or the Democrats get in it's going to happen.

In late August, 1988 presidential candidate George H.W. Bush, promised that as president he would introduce legislation that would cut millions of tons of the pollutants known to create acid rain.

-------------------------------------------------------

The proposed rule would go into effect by 2029 at the earliest, according to the Energy Department. At its start date, it would require furnace manufacturers to stop producing the old inefficient furnaces and ban new imports of those furnaces.

Today's modern furnace uses stainless steel, aluminized steel, aluminum, brass, copper, and fiberglass. Stainless steel is used in the heat exchangers for corrosion resistance. Aluminized steel is used to construct the frame, blowers, and burners. Brass is used for valves, and copper in the electrical wiring.

How furnace is made - making, history, used, components ...

Steel and aluminum are the big ones on the trade deal.

Inflation is not going down.
Neither republicans or democrats like China.

Boy, the elites really freaked out when DT took on China & their loyal lapdogs went right along with it.

We should have been harder on China & strongly encouraged manufacturers to relocate back home or at least to less hostile countries.
Take away their business & China goes back to the world commie dictatorship it would still be if we didn't prop them up

LOL. Seriously? You're trying to convince us that the high inflation is due to Trump's trade war with China? Man are you guys getting desperate. How about you guys passing the "Inflation Reduction Act", which actually increases inflation? You lefties might not take responsibility for anything but voters are going to hold YOU accountable, not Trump's trade wars with China.

And your beloved Nancy tried to provoke a war with China with her stupid visit to Taiwan.

What would Walmart sell if war with China cut all trade?

Why do you need AC? If it get hot you should soak in a cool bath and sleep in the basement.

Either way your new furnace with last longer than you EC battery...
