We are in the process of retiring the E-3's and replacing them with E-7 Wedgetails. One of the requirements for the E-7 was the capability for one operator to control multiple drones at once.

We are testing "buddy drones", where one F-35 is paired with unmanned wingman.

There is so much work being done on unmanned systems, when I hear these reports I think "Pentagon" before anything else.

Here's 3 good reasons to do something about these huge drones flying over New Jersey.

2. They could be equipped with weapons.
3. They could fly into the path of civilian aircraft.

OK, well I read it and it said they've placed restrictions over certain areas but they do not state that any drone has itself flown in restricted space, at least I couldn't see anywhere it said that.
