Does this cause you to agree Penny is not guilty?

If you are in an enclosed subway car with no police, restraint is in order till you reach the next station
No doubt you are right. That restraint probably shouldn't be a choke hold that could kill him though.

Probably not
But in the absence of police, passengers need to do what they can do
Even police kill people while trying to restrain them

Sure. They should know that they shouldn't kill a restrained person with a choke hold too.

Not surprising that fox didn't mention that little fact. He held him in a choke hold until the cops got there, and he was dead by then.
Actually that is not correct.

Penny was found not guilty by a jury which agreed with a finding of defense pathologist that Daniel Penny did not take Neely's life. Neely was in fact alive when officers showed up to the scene long after Penny had released Neely. nbcnews.com/news/us-news/d…

The perp on the floor stated he would end up in prison or die. He announced what would happen to him.

Also a kind person said this:

It is called a choke hold by the press. The expert testified he was alive when the cops showed up. No doubt the cops put him under arrest.

I am curious as to why you never report what the dead man was telling the train he was riding on? That he was willing to die?

Naw, he was white. They don't do that to white folks.

Check your privilege, baby.

Of course, only in your bizarre logic can a man choke someone nearly to death, but if he doesn't die right away, that makes it okay, then.

I accept the jury's judgement. They saw all the evidence. I didn't. It just seems unreasonable that a crazy person should end up dead just for saying crazy things. Lots of poor pathetic crazy people around. Even one of their deaths is tragic, especially if it was preventable.

He was crazy. Crazy people say crazy things. I'm not aware of him assaulting anyone in any way.
