The People Cheering the UnitedHealthcare CEO Shooting

Obamacare isn't nor was it ever the answer. It did a couple good things but did absolutely nothing to control costs that those couple of good things would run up.

It was absolutely the right thing to not deny those with pre-existing conditions coverage but even in the best system that will drive up costs and absolutely nothing was addressed there.

The first step needs to be removing Hedge funds from the equation.
I said from the very beginning that Obamacare was a bait-and-switch con.

From the very beginning.

I also said the cost of Obamacare would start to explode in 2019.

From the very beginning.

But you see, when one side does NOTHING, then it is just a matter of time before the people accept ANYTHING to relieve their pain, even if the solution is a piece of shit.

The Democrats have made it unequivocally clear their long term goal is single-payer health care. Ever since the 70s with Ted Kennedy and what was called "socialized medicine" back then.

It's been crystal clear where they are going.

You know what the Republicans doing NOTHING tells me? You know what it should tell YOU?

It says the Republicans have given their tacit approval of single-payer health care and are just pretending to put up an offense against it, which has only succeeded in delaying single-payer health care.

By lying about repealing and replacing Obamacare, Donald Trump made the ACA immortal. Or at least until we get to single-payer health care.

Here's another thing: Donald Trump LOVES single-payer health care. He always has. He made no bones about it right up to 2015.

We've all been sold down the river to single-payer health care.

It's all been a long con.

"As far as single payer, it works in Canada. It works incredibly well in Scotland." - Donald J. Trump, 2015.

Donald Trump in his book The America We Deserve:

We must have universal healthcare...I'm a conservative on most issues but a liberal on this one. We should not hear so many stories of families ruined by healthcare expenses...

Doctors might be paid less than they are now, as is the case in Canada, but they would be able to treat more patients because of the reduction in their paperwork..

The Canadian plan also helps Canadians live longer and healthier than Americans. There are fewer medical lawsuits, less loss of labor to sickness, and lower costs to companies paying for the medical care of their employees. If the program were in place in Massachusetts in 1999 it would have reduced administrative costs by $2.5 million. We need, as a nation, to reexamine the single-payer plan, as many individual states are doing.

Donald Trump on Larry King the first time he ran for President:

I'm quite liberal, and getting much more liberal, on health care and other things. What's the purpose of a country if you're not gonna have defense and health care? If you can’t take care of your sick in the country, forget it, it’s all over. So I'm very liberal when it comes to health care. I believe in universal healthcare.

I never hear them say that.

Doing nothing to get that isn't going to get us there either.

Democrats are never going to cross the insurance and pharmaceutical industries.........or wall street.

Not so clear.

You know what the Republicans doing NOTHING tells me? You know what it should tell YOU?

I know what it tells me. Both parties are slaves to greed.

By lying about repealing and replacing Obamacare, Donald Trump made the ACA immortal. Or at least until we get to single-payer health care.

That's why I was hoping he would succeed.

It's so hilarious to see Trumptards try to blame everything on Mexicans.

I wonder if Brian Thompson came up with this meme.

So they exert no pressure on the health care system?

MAGA talking heads should definitely side with medical insurance robber barons!

Before Oblundercare our health insurance was echelon, fully paid for by my husband's firm, same with associates, after associates had to pay for less coverage
As the cost of health care was rising for DECADES, it was just a matter of time before your husband's firm could no longer fully pay for your insurance, with or without Obamacare.

So the brass of military industrial complex should REALLY be scared of the left radicalizing people through elite universities.

How many deaths are weapons manufacturers responsible for? And mostly MINORITIES.

YIKES.

You have no idea what my husband's firm generates in revenue.

The point is the firm covered costs until you left loon cucks got involved. It's a disaster

Well no, he promised to put it online for everyone to be able to read and discuss. What we got was "We have to pass it to find out what is in it".
That's true for all legislation. Whenever a new bill is passed, someone always finds loopholes or workarounds in it. And unintended consequences arise from it.

The right wing media made a lot out hay out of Pelosi's comment without being honest about its meaning.

That's what they do.

Granted, Democrats were held responsible during the 2010 elections.
Yes, the rubes were misled about the ACA. "Death panels" and such.

Yet those very same rubes have never held Trump responsible for lying to them and making the ACA immortal.

You know why?

Because they take their cues from the very dishonest right wing propagandists.

First, I'm not a left loon. I detest the ACA more than anyone.

And you are fool if you believe the cost of insurance would have magically stayed the same without the ACA. You clearly have absolutely no knowledge of the cost curve of insurance over decades.

All the ACA achieved was a temporary slowdown of the arc of that curve.

Your husband's insurance costs didn't go up because of the ACA. You are a sucker if you bleev that.

In fact, the ACA was a windfall boondoggle for employer-provided health insurance. It raised the tax exemption ceiling.

I pointed this out many times on this forum.

The right wing media had nothing to do with me not supporting any of this.

Really irrelevant to anything I've said. I'm not wondering why Republicans don't support this, I'm wondering why Democrats won't.

So letting the government do all of it is the same thing?

but but but but but PFOFFFFFIIITTTZZZZZ
The administrative costs of Medicaid and Medicare are far, far lower than the costs of private insurance administration.

After all, that CEO had to be paid $10 million along with all the other well-paid employees.

And the hedge fund managers.

I love reading dimocrap scum conversations about Health Care.

It's like listening to 3rd graders discuss Relativity.

I would applaud a system like Switzerland has. In fact, I was under the impression that's what The Bastard Son Of Frank Marshall Davis was going for but alas, it would involve the States and he was far too lazy to engage with them. And stupid.

He was, and still is, a stupid Human Being. A good Orator. Good enough to mask his stupidity but, stupid nonetheless.
