49.7 million students attend public schools.
4.7 million students attend private schools.
only 3.7 million are home-schooled, and most not for their entire school careers.

Don't forget the one in Colorado too where the teacher got a teenage girl to live with a female teacher by claiming the teen was homeless. When the parent of the teen found out she was livid....but the school principal covered for the teacher!

I never thought that I'd see the day when teachers used the student body as their personal dating pool/harem.

If they can't make it during school hours, I am available to meet with them any time in person, virtually, over the phone, via email, whatever. You know all this. We have a parent of a student who "elopes"...that is, runs off....at every opportunity. The parent insists that the child be taken outside every day, even though the teacher has explained that this is not safe, as there is a busy road near the school.

The parent says, "figure it out" to the teacher.

I'm here to tell you: if you saw via live cam what goes on in most classrooms, it wouldn't be the teacher behavior that would make you angry. It would be the behavior of the few kids who ruin the experience for everyone else....and the parents do nothing about it.

This is a MUCH bigger issue than the few (terrible) teachers in the nation
