Students are being trained by union teachers to say ‘F--- ICE.’

You asked and I didn't want any more questions. besides, it's an interesting story about how someone stepped o their own dick while trying to be badass.

What about all of those teachers not in a union? There are no teachers' unions in Texas, so shouldn't they be the cheapest and number 1 in test scores?

Your problem is your bumper sticker answers don't work in the real world.

How hard is it to fire a poorly performing teacher in Texas compared to NYC?

The problem is the difficulty in getting rid of poorly performing teachers.

American education overall is a hot mess. Denying reality helps no one. The admiral needs to grow a thicker skin.
And you need to open your ******* ears and listen to people who actually know what they're talking about instead of reading your t-shirts.

And you need to open your ******* ears and listen to people who actually know what they're talking about instead of reading your t-shirts.

Tell us, why is American education such a failure? I hope you are not going just blame everyone else but the education system.

I don't know. You'd have to ask someone from those places. In my states, all you have to do is allow due process and have evidence. That's where most people **** up. I didn't when I fired

Did “your states” have union contracts with disciplinary systems embedded in them?

"NAEP Scores Signal Urgent Need for Change in American Education

The latest NAEP scores continue to affirm that change is needed in the way America thinks about K-12 education.

Andrew Handel/September 10, 2025

The National Center for Education Statistics just released the latest data from the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP), and the scores continue to paint a sobering picture of academic achievement amongst American students. Despite collective state, local, and federal spending of $857 billion annually on K-12 education, our students continue to fall further and further behind in core academic knowledge.

The latest NAEP data looks at math and reading skills amongst 12th graders and science skills for 8th graders. The results reveal record low scores for 12th graders in both reading and math, while science scores for 8th graders also declined to their lowest level since 2009. Crucially, 45% of 12th graders failed to demonstrate even a basic level of math knowledge and 32% failed to demonstrate a basic level of reading skills. Amongst 8th graders, 38% failed to demonstrate a basic level of science knowledge.

U.S. Secretary of Education Linda McMahon, who was a keynote speaker at ALEC’s Annual Meeting in Indianapolis this year, put it this way:

Today’s NAEP results confirm a devastating trend: American students are testing at historic lows across all of K-12. At a critical juncture when students are about to graduate and enter the workforce, military, or higher education, nearly half of America’s high school seniors are testing at below basic levels in math and reading. Despite spending billions annually on numerous K-12 programs, the achievement gap is widening, and more high school seniors are performing below the basic benchmark in math and reading than ever before.

The lesson is clear. Success isn’t about how much money we spend, but who controls the money and where that money is invested. That’s why President Trump and I are committed to returning control of education to the states so they can innovate and meet each school and students unique needs.”

You ignored the stats. That's on you.
I did not ignore the stats. I showed you how those stats are deceptive. They don't say what you assume. You simply refuse to learn why you are wrong and paint with a broad brush. Are there problems in some schools? Definitely, but the sky is not falling Chicken Little! Many schools are doing just fine.

Second verse, same as the first. They have been singing this song forever, but most blue states and cities have gone further the wrong way.

Did you notice the use of the term education gap? A gap shows a difference or disparity in progress That's exactly what happens between conservative and liberal-dominated school systems.

I have a ******* master's degree in educational leadership where I learned to run schools. We studied school organizations all over the country. It qualifies me to run entire school districts. Yeah, so I am a ******* expert, especially compared to you know-nothings.
You are an expert. But you are one of many.

When anyone can find information like this on the net, it does not buttress your argument at all.

The level of education in the U.S. is declining, with recent reports showing significant drops in reading and math scores among high school students, reaching their lowest levels in over 20 years. Factors contributing to this decline include the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, increased screen time, and changes in teaching methods that have not effectively supported student learning

I believe that the biggest deterrent to a good education is the lack of discipline in schools. That is NOT a school problem. That is a parenting problem.

I don't believe schools can discipline anymore, even if they want to.

Fix that, and you fix a big part of the problem IMO.

Did you read any of my posts discussing averages? Put away the broad-brush approach.

I have admitted that some schools are performing very poorly, but there are far too many schools that do not fall into that category. My grandkids do not attend schools in any inner-city blue schools like Baltimore, but mostly conservative districts in small cities in Kentucky and Tennessee. Our schools are doing great! I feel for your schools if you have that problem, but I am not stressing over problems you can solve on your own.

Mississippi implemented a new reading program and raised their test scores more than any other place in the country. They tried something new and it worked. One thing about education in this country is that one size does not fit all.

Historic lows. Shameful.

They are not deceptive. You are just a shameless apologist for a failing and expensive education system.
