When you vilify teachers you drive them out of the profession. As I have said many times: you think the A and B team is bad? Here's the C and D team.

No surprise there... they don't pay Catholic School teachers much and some of those people were absolute psychos.. At least they were in the 1970s when I went. I can't imagine things have gotten better.

While all sensible people SHOULD be horrified by our descent into fascism, the classroom probably isn't the place to do it because little Timmy came in wearing a MAGA hat.

Shit, most of the Catholic Clergy is queer. The biggest problem they have with recruitment now is that you have other options today, which is why the Church doesn't have enough priests to go around and nuns are practically extinct.

We absolutely need a law making it a jail-able offense to try to politically or sexually indoctrinate minors in school, and to make it legal for a pissed off parent to let such "teachers" have it when the kids come home with stories of hearing such filth.

This is why we pray for and support the religious vocations. We need so many more priests, religious brothers and sisters to teach in parochial schools.

However, we recently had a teacher accused of "grooming" because he patted a child on the shoulder. Absolute truth. Parent got all the higher-ups involved and he was completely exonerated.

People are crazy these days. Some parents, too.

About once a year, I get truly, personally angry. Not frustrated, tired, annoyed--all common--but ANGRY. Usually when I hear someone mistreating someone else. I have learned to model this: "I need a minute to just sit here and collect myself. Give me a minute." And then I address the issue.

factions on either side are all "tooth & nail" with our educational professionals caught in the crossfire

Recently, a Catholic priest and exorcist, while giving a presentation of a Holy Relic to a group of people, was speaking to a pre-teen girl and wanted to make a point by comparing his bald head to her full head of hair, and briefly touched the ends of a lock of her hair, leading the Karens to go ape-shit crazy, trying to damage the reputation of this man.

The girl was not offended or scared by his action, nor were her parents, to the best of my knowledge, but some satan possessed loser had to do their best to damage this good man.

The good ones are suffering from what the evil ones have done.
