Hey Teacher Haters: Play Stupid Games, Win Stupid Prizes

Why does that offend you?

Shit, most of the Catholic Clergy is queer. The biggest problem they have with recruitment now is that you have other options today, which is why the Church doesn't have enough priests to go around and nuns are practically extinct.
.

Because the liberal seminaries are built to only accept queer applicants.

From someone who taught in seminaries:

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...................

Meanwhile, my favorite pastime is making beautiful jewelry-quality Rosaries for a Carmelite community less than 100 miles from me. They sell the Rosaries in their gift shop and direct the funds toward building a new chapel. Extinct? In your demonic dreams.

No surprise there... they don't pay Catholic School teachers much and some of those people were absolute psychos.. At least they were in the 1970s when I went. I can't imagine things have gotten better.

While all sensible people SHOULD be horrified by our descent into fascism, the classroom probably isn't the place to do it because little Timmy came in wearing a MAGA hat.
I attended Catholic schools in the 1960s and early 70s and all the teachers were outstanding. I had a great experience. Generally speaking, the ones who have 'horror stories' had trouble following rules to begin with, and have since dropped out of the church. Rules can be exacting, granted. And some kids didn't have the home environment to withstand them.

Some people sent their unruly kids to Catholic school in an effort to shape them up, leaving the teachers to make up for neglect at home. We had this very thing in my 7th and 8th grade classes. A doctor brought his is out-of-control non-Catholic kids; seven of them adopted from several families.. They brought with them an ugly sexual sophistication they corrupted other kids with. They talked back to the teachers, refused to say prayers, fought against wearing the uniform. Naturally they left after a couple of years. Three of them died young; a couple from drugs. A few of them turned out OK.

And here we are.

This PRIVATE SCHOOL teacher goes off on his students, dropping F bombs and taking the Lord's name in vain (you should not do this in a public school, let alone private).

When you vilify teachers you drive them out of the profession. As I have said many times: you think the A and B team is bad? Here's the C and D team.

"Get your kids out of public schools," they said. Good luck with that.

Yeah, everyone drop and do your required Heil Shitlers!

My husband attended Catholic school K-12 in the 1940's, and told stories with admiration for the teaching sisters and priests. Never a word about abuse, and he was grateful for the discipline he learned in school.

He aspired to the priesthood until, in his senior year, he transferred to a co-ed school that has more lax standards.

Do you have any video of the teacher ranting?

Honestly they both were in the wrong. Politics should have never been brought up in the classroom but that teacher should have controlled his anger.

The teacher is a person of authority.

The student is a kid.

It's on the teacher to respond appropriately, and it's not hard: "No politics please. We're here to talk XYZ"

It's the private teacher's fault the kids sexualized the school. Right?

??? My schools are controlled by the local elected school board and the State of Texas.

Tons of federal requirements, especially as pertains to special needs. This was desperately needed decades ago. As all govt overbloat, the pendulum has swung too far.

I have to say that you have more grit than many, staying in the job you're in!

Even in my small conservative town's k-12 school, the crap is starting to get thick. I advertised for yard help about a year and a half ago, and got a guy who was about to quit his teaching job over the bullshit. He has remained the most reliable help I've ever had, and it's a pleasure to pay him very well, and to see him getting more and more jobs doing lawn care, snow management and many other tasks for homeowners in ours and another smallish town near here.

Hang in there. Hopefully it will get better with adults in charge.

You know, some people always blame teachers. YOU always seem to blame the students. Get out already.
