Healthcare in the US is a privilege

I have question for the "merica first" cult.

If US the US healthcare system is so great?
How many countries in the world are dropping universal healthcare, for the US based, for-profit healthcare system?

The indisputable truth is that, given the massive costs already paid each year by Americans for the healthcare that is "consumed", almost everyone in the country could have basic care and the total expenditure would be less than it currently is. That would require, however, a rational approach. Lobbyists exclude that possibility.

So do people who don't want politicians controlling their healthcare.

The good news is, those aren't the only two options!
Oh really? America has a for-profit health-care system. Meaning every single link in that chain gets a cut. Going from doctors, to hospitals, to health insurance, to the pharmacy tech that verifies the pills you need are covered. Here not so much, some of course (doctors still make good money.) Couple this with a higher cost for getting degrees, and malpractice insurances that need to be able to cover the litigation demands several orders of magnitude larger for malpractice and you come out with a health-care system that is much more expensive. For typically worse results, because it's unaffordable to a significant percentage of the population.

So, tell me what in this equation do I have wrong?

This is the kind of propaganda that distracts from the debate. It is not necessarily a question of control by politicians.

Oh really?
Yes. Really. Whenever someone tells you there are only two options, they're lying. They're trying to sell you one of those supposed "options", even though it sucks.

The presumption that the only way we can take care of our health is to enslave ourselves to government, or enslave ourselves to insurance companies. It's insane on the face of it. Health care costs too much BECAUSE of government and insurance controlling the health care market. The last thing we need is more government and insurance controlling the health care market.

Propaganda?? Listen, if you want your health care to be up to the democratic will of the people - when the "will of the people" can elect someone like Trump - then you are a fool.

I wonder even what he means by control. Does he mean setting a budget, negotiating prices for medicine, deciding which diseases are covered? These are all things that private companies do in the US, difference being that they do this with the object of making profit first and providing healthcare a distant second.

All of the above, yes.

Only if you sign up for what they're selling.

The fact that in the entire Western world minus the states offers high quality affordable healthcare supplied by its government puts a lie to the claim that it's the government that increases the cost.

In fact, I dare you to survive in the states paying sticker price for healthcare. You literally have to be a millionaire to do so if you have any significant health issues.

Only if you sign up for what they're selling.

These are the costs without any insurance or government intervention. Are you claiming those are prices everybody can afford?

Are those other countries as diverse and bitterly politically divided as the US?

I already did. For about five years. While raising two kids, on my own.

Have you people learned nothing from Trump's rise? You want to put government in control of every goddamned thing - but then voters go full-retard and elect someone like Trump. Now he's in control of every goddamned thing. And you're all freaking out.

WTF?

I asked........."How many countries in the world are dropping universal healthcare, for the US based, for-profit healthcare system"?

Not how many that are waiting in line to adopt the US healthcare system.

HOWEVER...................

The countries marked in yellow, like the US have pretty much the same system we have but most want universal healthcare.

No. I'm claiming those prices are caused by insurance and government.

Outrageous healthcare costs have been a problem in the US for literal decades, well before the States became so divided.

And there is no correlation in the cost of healthcare according to size or diversity for these nations. Germany has gotten more diverse the last decade. Didn't add to it's healthcare cost in a significant manner. Japan has one of the best healthcare systems in the world despite being 10 times larger than for instance Belgium.

The US is an outlier pure and simple. It's an outlier because they have a for-profit healthcare system. Plain and simple.

Yes, most don't know what socialist it and they indoctrinated as kids with the US myths
No, Americans are well aware.

Socialist is just a short hand for statist/authoritarian.

The government controlling your medical care, controlling your speech, and taking away your guns is the road to socialism or authoritarianism. Folks here mostly just want to be free. Yes, a lot of them are, like you, too dumb to understand that when you create a nanny state, it eventually bites you in the ass. The U.K and every common-wealth nation acted no different than Russia and China during COVID.

. . . this nation was founded on limiting the government.

What happened to USA health care on the way to socialism?

". . . When Bill Gates "warns" us that "we're not ready" for what he calls "the next epidemic," you'd better believe that he's using his monopolization of global "health" to prime the pump for the COVID scamdemic.

When Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping release a joint statement vowing to "accelerate the implementation of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development" by cooperating on "key areas" like "vaccines and epidemics control, financing for development, climate change, sustainable development, including green development, industrialization, digital economy, and infrastructure connectivity," you'd better believe they are actively collaborating on the promotion of an AI-driven, Fourth Industrial Revolution globalist agenda with their WEF cronies.

And when the globalists release a detailed timeline telling you exactly what the next steps are in the rollout of the global biosecurity security state, you'd better believe they are hard at work erecting that enslavement grid as we speak.

Luckily for us, we do not need to be mind readers or fortune-tellers to know what the globalists are preparing for our dystopian future. We simply have to read their documents. And boy, have they released some real doozies in the past month: three documents that lay out a precise timeline and an overview of what they're hoping to achieve and how they're hoping to achieve it. . . "

It’s apparent the for profit system isn’t working. It’s a total failure by any objective analysis. It needs reform.

I don’t know what the solution is, but advocating for continuing a failed system is ludicrous.

Are you serious or simply gaslighting?

What voter do you imagine is more likely to vote for Trump?

The one that thinks of the government as the enemy, or the one that thinks the government has a positive role to play in people's life?
