Two of the most powerful lobbies in the country are turning on a third in the hopes of deflecting Washington’s wrath and securing bigger shares of the $5 trillion Americans spend on health care each year.
Drugmakers and insurers are aiming to take advantage of lawmakers’ worries about affordability to convince them it’s the hospitals they should regulate, and not them, if they want to bring down Americans’ bills. Some of the changes the drugmakers and insurers are pursuing would pad their own profits.

Back when Ted "the swimmer" Kennedy got the Emergency Rooms to open up to people who couldnt afford the services there, healthcare costs, necessarily skyrocketed. 10s of millions of diseased illegals went to the ER's even if their Anchor brats only had a common cold. Then those illegals would be taken care of, and since they didnt speak English, got free services and medicine.

Well, someone had to pick up those costs, so every person who could pay, watched their covered and deductible go up and up. I knew two DC area hospitals that had to close, because the people who got the free shit, out numbered the people who did pay, so now, anyone who wants healthcare must travel farther away. This is by design, because democrats who hate humanity, wants people to die.

The Valley Health hospital system (main campus) was so overwhelmed between Hispanics and (spit) WVians they opened several Urgent Cares to send them to. I believe one is open 24/7.
