Basically Trump is stopping people who only needed an ESTA to go to the US for the last, I don't know, hundred years (not even an ESTA in most cases before a decade ago).
There's no reason to do this. There's no reason to block Scottish people from getting this.

Guy., your damn lucky that I am not your president. If so, foreigners wouldn't get near my country without a complete back ground check. A medical clearance would be mandatory. They would also need a job lined up with a US sponsor who would support them if needed, thus avoiding any welfare payments. This your really gonna love----Those from Muslim countries need not apply and of course there are many other dangerous locations that we don't need here. If you can't supply required proof of legal entry at the borders and airports, you will be turned around and sent back to where you came from. Any new resident, legal citizen or not will be deported after sentence served for crimes such as murder and rape. Illegal problem solved.
