You are correct but a higher percentage of Republicans voted to end the filibuster compared to the Democrats. 27 of the 32 (84%) Republicans voted to end the filibuster while the Democrats had 44 (68%) out of their majority of 65 vote to end KKK leader Robert Byrd's (D) filibuster.

And then gerrymandering that splits minority communities in a way that makes it impossible for their votes to matter.

I live 3 minutes from my assigned polling place. Last election, Kentucky's Democratic governor shut down all but two polling places in my county. I had to drive 20 minutes to vote, and 20 minutes back home. And it was crowded, of course, since half the county was voting there.

It's almost like the Democratic governor didn't want people to vote. Oh, did I mention my county is majority Republican?
