The police who responded to a mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, last May held off on confronting the shooter inside the classroom out of concern over the AR-15 rifle he used, according to a report.

A new investigation from the Texas Tribune found that officers decided that “immediately confronting the gunman” and the assault-style weapon “would be too dangerous,” although some of the officers on-scene were equipped with the same rifle.


Uvalde police held off on confronting shooter because of the rifle he used: report

“I have a male subject with an AR,” Coronado said.

The dispatch crackled on the radio of another officer on the opposite side of the building.

“Fuck,” that officer said.

But with that aside guns aren't a factor despite it's type. Could be a 6 shot revolver .22 cartridge or a double drum full auto AR-15. Death by guns isn't caused by guns, it's caused by criminals. Even if you vanish every single gun in the country what's left behind? The criminals or nutballs that want to hurt people and they will do so by other means. But what happens if you vanish all the criminals? Well, you know the answer to that.

There is a reason why Switzerland has the lowest gun related crime in Europe but also have private gun ownership that rivals America. Because they have a better society than we do.

There are way more guns than people in America and a metric shit ton of people own a AR-15. If the ar15 made people kill others then there be thousands shot by then every single day, but they don't so there aren't thousands shot by then everyday.

If you see a problem what's the best solution? To deal with the source of the problem. Well criminals and nutballs are the source of the problem, not some gun you want to say is scary.

If you want to fix a problem then fix it right or don't even bother.
