Their e-mails were received on a government server, not a server they set up in their homes. Big difference.

Their e-mails were received on a government server, not a server they set up in their homes. Big difference.

No--they received emails through their personal accounts--(Gmail--Yahoo whatever.) The point is lots of hands need to be slapped, not just Hillary Clinton's. It was a Senior IT staffer working at the State Department that set up Hillary Clinton's server. One would think that a Senior IT staffer working at the state department would know better than to do that. I imagine he thought it was O.K. to do, as he had done others without issues until now. And now he's pleaded the 5th to save his own ass.

I bet it would surprise the hell out of most of us, of top level government officials that are working off of private servers, and often get serious docs passed to them via their personal email accounts.

Again--the reason no charges, is they could not prove "intent." Intent to break the law could not be proven.

Probably. Condi never wrote an email leaving that for her staff so she always had a scapegoat.

Powell used AOL and when he finished, he closed the account which deleted all his emails so he never had anything to turn over.

Hillary is the only SOS to actually have emails to turn over to the State Department.

Powell did not have a private email server.

Pretty sure AOL is a private company... Did Powell know the security of AOL when hosting his email there... He also deleted the emails rather than hand them over...

Clinton hosted her own with her own security and kept almost every email...

If you think Powell and Rice violated the law get the Obama DOJ to prosecute them. But you cant now can you since the Hillary case sets a precedent that our laws do not have to be followed by civil servants.
