'Oppenheimer' actor comes out as transmasculine and nonbinary, keeping 'work name'

Trump is an abomination on democracy.

When some future historian writes "The Decline and Fall of America", Chapter 1 will be Trump.

I used to think you were just uninformed, indoctrinated and ignorant. I can add just plain dumb to the list.

The non-CRA lenders were happy to take risky loans because- wait for it- They would get the deposit, they would get the interest payments, and after foreclosure, they could resell the house to the next sucker...er investor.

CRA loans were high risk loans. They were only heavily scrutinized in the sense that the people getting loans qualified to received such a benefit, not that they had the finances to pay the loans back or the risk level. The risky lending gave the green light for banks to do the same. If Fannie and Freddie can do it, why can't we? The same thought process for those that bought the loans.

I'm sure you walk through Jesusland with it's Confederate Hate Flags and don't feel guilty at all.... but this is because you are an awful human being.

It is funny that you believe that this is the way it is in the South. Just another example of you being woefully misinformed and indoctrinated. It is no different than me believing that you have to wear urban camo and dodge bullets on your way to work every morning in Chicago.

All of it made up attention seeking due to a malfunction between the ears.

And another clear reminder of why Trump won the election............
In America, Gen Z, will be looked back on as the generation where the wheels finally came off the track.

adopting a new name in their personal life while keeping the name Emma for their professional one.

LOL, she saw what happened to Ellen Page.

Transmasculine, haven't heard of that one before. Is that the same as Butch?

When did Rome start declining? Most people put it at the reign of Commodus.

Commodus and Trump are pretty much the same... guys who care about the show rather than good governance.

Again, you are delusional. The CRA banks weren't the ones that went bust.

Analysis of federal mortgage records shows that only 25% of the subprime mortgages that arenow causing the collapse of the credit markets were originated by CRA-regulated institutions.

The remaining 75% of subprime mortgages were originated by independent mortgage brokerssuch as Ameriquest and Argent, or by lightly-regulated subsidiaries of large banks.[1]

What thisfact uncovers is that the subprime crisis is not a result of too much regulation, but rather theresult of nonexistent regulation over the activities of independent mortgage brokers.

In addition, many of the top players in the mortgage crisis that have gone bankrupt or received agovernment bailout: Bear Stearns, AIG, Lehman, Merrill Lynch, and IndyMac, as well as thefailed hedge funds, are not bound by CRA regulations.

Um, then why did you guys fight so hard against taking down Confederate Flags and monuments?

What I am saying is that the actions of the GSE’s, including their buying of risky subprime loans to satisfy federal regulations to the point where they were placed in a conservatorship, essentially gave the green light for greedy lenders. Modeling irresponsible behavior was to be expected.

Um, then why did you guys fight so hard against taking down Confederate Flags and monuments?

Are you fighting to have the US flag removed? If not, why?

Is it possible that one can be proud of their country or their lineage even if everything about that country or lineage may not be acceptable by today’s standards? Give me a historical figure and I can tell you some things that person did that would be unacceptable by today’s standards.

"Timmy did it first" is an excuse for a five year old, but not for a CEO making 8 figures to NOT fuck things up.

Are you fighting to have the US flag removed? If not, why?

Because that was the flag that ended slavery. And Fascism.

Nope, it's not possible.

Today in Germany, you will not find one person proudly flying a Swastika flag. No one looks back at Grandpa Hans, who served in the Wehrmacht, with any pride.

at the end of the day, the people who fought for the Confederacy fought to preserve slavery, and the people who proudly put up the flags and monuments later were the ones who were proudly supporting Jim Crow and Lynching.

In other words, do as I say, not as I do. It seems you haven’t learned the lessons of a 5 year old.

Because that was the flag that ended slavery. And Fascism.

You entire world revolves around slavery(in the US). It is weird.

Nope, it's not possible.

You are proud of everything the US has ever done? It sure doesn’t seem that way.

In other words, do as I say, not as I do. It seems you haven’t learned the lessons of a 5 year old.

No, the five year old got punished. The bankster got bailouts and got to keep their bonuses. That's where that was kind of messed up, yo!

You entire world revolves around slavery(in the US). It is weird.

Yup. Slavery is America's Original Sin... one we have yet to atone for.

You are proud of everything the US has ever done? It sure doesn’t seem that way.

America is a mix of good and bad.

The Confederacy was pure fucking evil. There was nothing good about the Confederacy or the fetishization of it that went on after the war.

Do you know why they don't fly Swastikas in Germany anymore? Because they hanged the top Nazis and then made average Germans go to the Concentration Camps to see what the fuck they did bad.

No, the five year old got punished.

The bleeding heart liberals in government were the supposed adults in this analogy. Adults who weren’t wise enough to know that if they exhibited bad behavior, their children would follow. If you are stealing candy, the kids will do the same.

You are one of those that is led around by their ideological nose.

Yup. Slavery is America's Original Sin... one we have yet to atone for.

Sure we have. MANY, MANY times over.

Have the many other countries that practiced slavery atoned for theirs? What constitutes atonement? A free house? A free car? A get out of jail free card? Don’t kid yourself. All of these thins could be given and people like you would still complain. It is in your DNA. People like YOU harbor serious racism internally, which is why you see racism in everything. What you don’t understand is that everybody doesn’t have these inner racist demons. YOU and people like you are anomalies, not the norm. Stop projecting.

Except you have it confused. The CRA loans were regulated. The loans on McMansions that were sold off as investments were not.

Oh, and who was in charge of Regluating at that time? Oh, that's right. George W. Bush was.

Sure we have. MANY, MANY times over.

Nowhere close.

We aren't talking about other countries, we are talking about this one.

What would constitute atonement to me is that when you apply for a mortgage or a job or are stopped by a cop, you are treated the exact same way regardless of your race.

That doesn't happen now.

Except you have it confused. The CRA loans were regulated. The loans on McMansions that were sold off as investments were not.

You are missing the point. GSE were giving out risky loans, all condoned by our federal government. A risky loan is a risky loan. They were giving out loans that had a less than average chance of defaulting. Just because the taxpayers were on the hook doesn’t make it any less egregious. The thought was, if the GSEs can get away with it, why can’t we? Frankly, it was a logical conclusion, albeit an unethical one.

Democrats were not interested in regulatory changes that affected ALL risky loans, including those from GSEs. Going back to our analogy, they wanted to continue stealing the candy and to tell their child that they can’t. I won’t get arrested and become a diabetic, but you will. Yeah, ok.

What would constitute atonement to me is that when you apply for a mortgage or a job or are stopped by a cop, you are treated the exact same way regardless of your race.

Everyone is treated the same way when applying for a mortgage. Mortgages are not approved or denied based on race, but on hard data. Credit score, income, job stability, etc.

Do black cops treat black suspects differently? If so, why? Do you think compliant suspects are treated differently simply because of race? Let me let you in on a little secret. A white guy with long hair and tattoos driving an old pickup truck is not approached in the same way by black or white cops as a clean cut black guy driving a Mercedes. The black guy in this case may even be given more leeway with regards to compliance. Overall appearance and attitude, not race, matters. It is just a fact of life that you may not want to accept, but can’t be changed. It is the same in every country and in every race around the world. It is human nature.

Except because the feds were on the hook for CRA loans, they were given more scrutiny.

Bush had both houses of Congress, he could have made changes if he wanted to.

This was all on Bush and his bankster buddies.

You don't live in the real world, do you?

Right. A black guy in a Mercedes will be treated like he stole it.

Just ask Alan Scott, the guy who was shot in the back by a thug cop who pulled him over because a black man shouldn't have a car that nice.
