Isn't it amazing that homophobes almost always describe gay sex in the most lurid terms? If you want a butt pirate cake, then go bake it yourself
Perhaps it's because they want to denigrate something they find objectionable. You know, like a Christophobe describing someone's faith in mocking, despicable terms.Isn't it amazing that homophobes almost always describe gay sex in the most lurid terms?
It's almost like a supposed vegan who just can't stop talking about steak, describing it as being finely grilled with mushrooms and onions.

Of course it is. You are cherry picking one thing out of your Big Book of Bronze Age Fairy Tales to rationalize your hate. If you hated everyone the bible tells you to hate, we'd have no end to strife in this country.
Except COTUS doesn't apply here.
Congress didn't write this law, the State of Colorado did.
The law didn't apply to him, it applied to his business.
Wow, talk about missing the point.
If you are just going to ignore what's in your own bible because it's unpleasant for you, you can do that. Just be honest and admit that's what you are doing.
God didn't change his mind, we changed ours.

Gays. People who don't believe in your sky fairy.

Isn't a matter of COTUS rights, it's a matter of laws.I’m not cherry picking anything. I personally don’t care who you choose as a partner, but cotus is the law of the land, so, when people try to attack someone for exercising his cotus rights, then I speak up.
For the 10th time, it has nothing to do with hate, it is just about the Bible teaching it as a sin. I’ve asked you several times to show where Phillips indicated any kind of hate. If he “hates” gay people, there will certainly be evidence of it in various places, such as social media, or complaints from other gay people who said he refused service to them for other ceremonies.
Cotus does apply, as the protections granted by the cotus can’t be negated by neither federal nor state government.
As I’ve stated before, you say the law applies to his business, but he himself cannot be forced to give up his rights, so, he doesn’t have to do something that requires that. Just because you own a business doesn’t mean you have to be at the whim of everyone that walks through the door if they ask you to do something that goes against your rights. Just like if a couple who are devil worshipers come into his bakery and ask him to make a cake for a satanic ritual….he doesn’t have to make that cake.
The Bible never says to hate those people, in fact, the Bible teaches you to love everyone…even your enemies! It also says not to be partakes in sinful activities. That’s the difference.
But it usually does.Really? Because I see a lot of the lefty’s on this very forum who use homosexual slurs as a means of attacking people. You say the “homophobes”, that doesn’t necessarily mean “right wing”…
Isn't a matter of COTUS rights, it's a matter of laws.
The first Amendment only protects your right to believe what you want... but you still have to obey the law.
He's willing to bun large piles of money in the middle of the street to deny gays simple services. That's a level of hate I'd call psychotic.
Not quite the same thing, since he doesn't make Satanic Cakes for anyone. He does, however, make wedding cakes.
The Bible also tells you to murder people who don't worship the same God you worship... which is why you God-Botherers have been doing that for 3000 years.
But it usually does.
I think there's a big difference between calling someone a fag in jest, and trying to deny them even the most basic human rights...
Which is sadly, what the religious right wants to do, because the Rich are pulling your strings...
What is telling is that even they don't want to play this game anymore, which is why when some Jesusland states tried to codify discrimination, the big corporations slapped them down hard.

We’ll have to disagree, I believe the cotus is the first line of protection of rights, therefore no government can make a law that asks you to violate your cotus protections.
It’s exactly the same thing he bakes cakes, specialty cakes, so according to your view, he should be forced by PA laws to make a cake for everyone that walks through the door, even a cake for a satanic ritual , or a satanic themed wedding, or birthday or whatever.
It does? Show me where it says to be a Christian, you have to murder…anyone. My recollection is that the Bible teaches against murder.
But it’s not being said in jest, it’s usually a means of attacking and insulting someone, used in a derogatory way, as if the thing they are saying is a bad thing. I think a lot of times they don’t realize they are saying it, and it just comes out naturally, which makes you wonder if they are using those slurs in their personal lives, commonly, also.
But they went further than that, they also threatened states that tried to pass "Don't bake the cake" laws. And rightly so, we are a nation of freedom, which means you should be able to marry whom you choose, and religion shouldn’t have any influence on that, because you have freedom of religion and freedom to not be religious.
The Constitution is not a suicide pact.
Except he doesn't make Satanic cakes, he does make wedding cakes.
Except if you break God's law.. in which case they kill you for working on the Sabbath, being a witch, having the gay sex, not having an intact hymen on your wedding night, etc.
God didn't change his mind, we changed ours.
Um, okay, so who did this, exactly?

Since he doesn't make Satanic Cakes, then yes, he's right to refuse. If someone comes in and asks him to bake a cake specifically for a satanic themed wedding, you’re ok with him refusing that cake?
Uhh…who’s killing anyone? That whole line of thinking is completely irrelevant because, first, that’s probably Old Testament stuff, and second, nowhere in the Bible does it teach that to be a Christian, you have to kill anyone…for any reason. I’m sure there are areas where the Bible talks about people being killed for various reasons, but that has no bearing on being a Christian today.
I just clicked on two of them, and they were pretty weak sauce.I mean, these are examples, I’ve noticed it so much that I’ve started calling lefty’s out on it, because, for a group that claims to be all tolerant and standing up for the gay community….they sure do use the gay lifestyle in a negative context…frequently…
Since he doesn't make Satanic Cakes, then yes, he's right to refuse.
If the Satanists asked for a red-frosting cake, and he refused because he found out they were Satanists, probably not so much.
Of course a GAY wedding cake is exactly like a STRAIGHT wedding cake.
Um, okay.
Thou Shall Not Suffer a Witch to Live.
During the middle ages, CHRISTIANS burned thousands of women to death for being witches.
We don't burn witches today. God didn't change his mind, we changed ours.

For some reason, atheists just LOOOVE the Old Testament. They never seem to complain about the New. I wonder why that is.So, how is refusing to make a cake for a satanic themed wedding any different than refusing to make a cake for a gay wedding. It’s exactly the same thing. You say it’s because he doesn’t make satanic wedding cakes…because it would be against his religion to do so, right? .for the very same reason he doesn’t make cakes for gay weddings….because it would violate his religion to do so.
Yeah, and again, you are looking at Old Testament stuff. As far as I’m aware, Christian’s today observe the teachings of the New Testament. So, I’m not sure what your point is here.
Doesn’t matter if you consider them weak, they still prove my point.

No, they really don't. Calling Putin a "fag" is kind of funny, given how homophobic he is.Doesn’t matter if you consider them weak, they still prove my point.
You are right, it is the same thing, if he is specifically refusing them a wedding cake because of their religion. That's the nice thing about PA Laws, they actually PROTECT religion.
And a good thing, because left to your own devices, you God-Botherers would be murdering each other over whether or not Jesus was made of stale wafers.
That Christians were still following the "Old Testament" laws to murder people up until fairly recently. It wasn't Jews burning those witches at the stake, it was Christians.
God didn't change his mind, we changed ours.

Well, we still disagree because I’ll cite religious freedom all day long as protecting Philips from both satanic wedding cakes, and gay wedding cakes.
Um, it's USMB. Going to USMB and whining that people were rude is like going to a whorehouse and saying "I didn't feel the love."In nearly all of those links, it was one usmb member using a gay slur as a way of attacking another usmb member, and for some reason, you, who has been sitting here arguing with me for weeks about gay wedding cakes and transition surgery, are somehow ok with people using homophonic slurs in a derogatory way, normalizing that kind of behavior.
