I don't live in the states, but when I go there I am always amazed how fat people are, especially those who seem poor.

It didn’t use to be this way. Obesity was a nonissue in America 50 years ago. Something changed.

Why should they? They are given enough to survive, and there are no consequences to staying on the dole.
