SNAP bans on soda, candy and other foods take effect in five states Jan. 1- Thanks RFK!

But it’s expensive to society. Maybe I don’t want my taxpayer money being spent on your poor choices. Isn’t that the idea here?

Then you should stop insisting our taxpayer dollars be spent on people making poor choices, you nitwit. :auiqs.jpg:

You're the one trying to spend everyone's money and putting society on the hook for shitty food, shitty healthcare, shitty welfare policies, and wasting more money on what has proven to be little more than decades of absolute failure.

That is about the poorest choice involved, if you want to start locking shit down.

But your poor choices are going to cost the taxpayer anyway, regardless of how you paid for them. Right?

The only way you can make anyone's poor choices affect the taxpayer, is if you continue to make the poor choice of pretending the National Treasury is a bottomless pit of money. These things could be handled at the state level, closer to the people, their power, and their actual choices.

Instead, you want to pretend that caring matters, shirk your personal responsibility and power, kick the can to Capitol Hill and put us all in the poor house, in order to ignore and refuse to confront the consequences of your very poor choices, while also pretending it is someone else's fault because they don't want to make the same stupid choices you are making.

Nice try

But libs dont yet control the private wealth of individuals

We do however control food stamp spending
We control Medicare and Medicaid spending, which bears the burden of these poor choices.

We also controlled what is and isn’t allowed to be sold to consumers. Don’t we?

They could, if I were to continue to make them. But, as I’ve aged, I find my taste has gone away from these types of foods. So, I don’t eat them…

But, you can’t have it both ways. You can’t ***** that we have an obesity epidemic, then argue for high fat, high sugar foods should be subsidized by the taxpayer.
Because being “subsidized by the taxpayer” has nothing to do with the problem.

It’s a new year, but the same libtards crying over the idea that taxpayers won’t buy teens on welfare Fritos and candy bars.
They'll never learn.
They can't.
They're retarded, dear.

Government setting standards for SNAP qualified foods to reduce junk food intake and improve health outcomes is an absolute no-brainer. When someone pays for your meal it's kind of ridiculous to complain that it's too healthy and doesn't come with enough candies.

Government generally prohibiting junk food however crosses the line into oppressive.

And we have three more years of Trump to fight back against them, and now…..with it being revealed that Dems have overseen, and even profited from, MASSIVE taxpayer fraud, it looks good for the midterms.

Hey! Remember when progressives were talking about urban design that promoted walk ability as a way to increase physical exercise and improve public health through government planning?

That was turned into an absolutely insane conspiracy amongst the right wing lunatics.

See how it is all politics.

As soon as I bring in the empirical comparison in relative nutritional value of a candy bar versus a granola bar by using GRAMS OF ADDED SUGAR AND SATURATED FAT PER CALORIE, the lefty zombie taps out.

THEY ARE PARTY AND POLITICS ABOVE EVERYTHING.

There is no meaningful difference - those highly processed "health bars" are still crap.

Calories from saturated fat is the least of worries about foods like that because they are still better than calories from refined carbs.

Then why stop at SNAP? Why not ban these foods altogether?

Again, I remember when you people absolutely lost your shit when Michelle Obama tried to alter school lunches to be healthier.

But now you are suddenly concerned with what poor people are eating?
Kids threw her shit lunches in the trash.

Tax dollars should not be used to buy soda and candy for poor people.

How the **** is that controversial?

Lefties make everything political.

Here is a thought…if you want to consume candy and soda…buy it yourself…or shoplift it.

I'm a leftie and I agree with this message except the part about lefties not agreeing with this message.

Well, good. Then get out of the conversation....If they remove certain foods from SNAP eligibility, then by your own words, that's not the problem.

You're only virtue signaling.
