I don't have a totally negative view of Obama. The last budget he signed--the compromise budget that he worked out with Ryan and McConnell--protected $700 billion in tax cuts, removed the ban on oil exports, and gave the military a nice boost in funding. In 2013, he compromised and did something he had argued against doing: he made all of the middle-class tax cuts in the Bush tax cuts permanent. He got concurrent receipt for disabled veterans, which was long overdue. Although Obamacare was an overall train wreck and should either be repealed or drastically reformed, it did enable millions of low-income people to get health care and prescription drugs for the first time. His HARP program continues to help thousands of middle-income families to get a better deal on their mortgages. He did a number of other good things.

In his personal life, there was never a hint of marital infidelity. He and Michelle set a good example for black youth.

And, yes, in public he conducted himself with decorum and class.

Obviously, I never voted for Obama and never would. I think he did a lot of damage to America. I think he broke the law a couple of times. I think his Iran deal was disgraceful. Etc., etc., etc. But he also did some good things and deserves credit for them and for how he conducted himself as president.

No, the effects of the tax cuts are already showing results. You don't need actual cash in hand before you take actions on the cash guaranteed to come in.

All states were able to waive federal requirements of food stamps under DumBama. Most did and some didn't. But as time went on, Republican led states began to reinstitute those requirements and that's why usage went down.

Trump removed job damaging regulations by Obama. He eventually got rid of Commie Care requirements. He backed out of the Paris Accords which would have had very damaging affects on American companies. He promised a reduction of corporate taxes which he eventually produced. These are all inviting things for corporations whether they materialize immediately or down the road.
