Biden regime admits they have been lying about number of oil leases.

Are they "holding up" drilling permits, or simply doing their due diligence before issuing them? We know that the Trump administration did no due diligence because they didn't care about people or the environment. Making money is all that matters.

Must be a slow news day because this isn't really a problem at all.
Link us up to no due diligence under Trump, Simp.

And yes, Chicom Joe is holding up permits.

However, because the price of gasoline depends largely on the cost of crude oil, which is mostly based on global supply and demand, experts told us that oil sold from the reserve does not need to stay in the U.S. to bring down gasoline prices.

“Whether it stays in the United States or goes somewhere else is less important than does it succeed in changing the global balance of supply and demand, because that’s what drives the price,” Mark Finley, a fellow in energy and global oil at Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy, told us in an interview."

Here is where we gained our illustrious status, (but meaningless in terms of gasoline price) of energy independence.

THen why did Joe just before the midterm elections released millions of gallons of crude to drive down the price of gasoline? Yeah, a Demofascist lies and thinks we cant remember.

Gasoline is made from crude oil. That particular announced release put downward pressure on the price of crude oil after OPEC announced new cuts in production.

Geoff Bennett:

President Biden's announcement is aimed at easing the oil supply shortage and lowering gas prices, which have become a major concern for the White House just three weeks ahead of the November midterms.

The release of 15 million barrels from the nation's stockpile, known as the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, is the final tranche of the 180 million that President Biden pledged this spring to release over six months.

This is all unfolding as oil prices shot higher last week, after OPEC announced a cut in oil production by two million barrels a day.

Is production down since Biden took office?

Both active wells and amount produced was dropping off in late 2019 even before COVID.

Rig count peaked in Dec of 18 and was dropping long before anyone heard of COVID
I did say unless there were indications oil production was dropping off before the pandemic.

Also I thought you said current production is higher than 17 and 18 but lower than 19.

Either way using middle of the pandemic economic numbers as a baseline is playing with the numbers

There are land use permits needed to do seismic surveys but they are different than for drilling. Sometime there is already seismic data on a site and they can just buy that......
This process is far more complicated than just raw permit numbers. More permits doesn’t necessarily equate to more drilling anymore than fewer permits equates to less drilling.

Is anyone shocked they have been lying?

Flashback: Biden, White House cited inaccurate '9,000 unused permits' figure more than 20 times

"For nearly a year, the White House has been trying to shift blame for hindering oil and natural gas development on federal lands," Kathleen Sgamma, the president of the Western Energy Alliance, told Fox News Digital. "They use the claim about 9,000 permits to beat up the industry and deflect for their failure to efficiently process permits. Now it turns out the numbers were off by thousands."
"The reality is this administration has done everything possible to make it more difficult to produce oil and natural gas on federal lands," she continued. "Studies show the United States would be producing 2-3 million more barrels per day, thereby lowering process for consumers, if it weren’t for these bad policies."
FOSSIL FUEL PROFITS ARE VITAL FOR GREEN ENERGY PROJECTS DEMS ROUTINELY TOUT
In addition to Biden, Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm, Interior Secretary Deb Haaland, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, former press secretary Jen Psaki, spokesperson John Kirby and anonymous administration officials all cited the figure.
"One thing I want to say about the oil companies: They talk about how we have — they have 9,000 permits to drill," Biden remarked in June. "They’re not drilling. Why aren’t they drilling?"

Great, prove there weren't 9,000+ permits back when they said that...

That's true. Putting crews on the ground doing the work is what brings home the bacon.

And the Cheezy Fascist at Neo-GOP central never pandered to his base with exaggerations either?????
1. We're talking about Quid Pro here.
2. I have no idea who "Cheezy Fascist at Neo-GOP central" is supposed to be, but I'm glad we don't have any of those around, they sound like something that would give poor, scared democrats heartburn.
3. Did Quid Pro ever say, "Just kidding", about his quote that is on video?
4. Do you think he expected his listeners to take him seriously? It sure sounded like he was really trying to get them to believe him.

Let's face reality, he is on video saying that he's going to end fossil fuels and he's never backtracked from that. Heck, even in his SOTU address, he had to be dragged reluctantly into admitting that we're going to need them for a few years yet. This is no campaign exaggeration, this is a foundational piece of his administration. Was TRUMP!'s promise to build a wall on the southern border a campaign promise or a foundational piece of his administration?

Yeah, by 2050. How's he doing?
Not so good yet. He's finding out it's a lot harder to do than he thought. Almost as hard as getting the right flavor of pudding for dinner.

I also read somewhere (I’ll try and find it) that depending on how the leases are configured can greatly affect whether a particular lease is usable regardless of whether there is oil under it or not.
