Is anyone shocked they have been lying?

Flashback: Biden, White House cited inaccurate '9,000 unused permits' figure more than 20 times

"For nearly a year, the White House has been trying to shift blame for hindering oil and natural gas development on federal lands," Kathleen Sgamma, the president of the Western Energy Alliance, told Fox News Digital. "They use the claim about 9,000 permits to beat up the industry and deflect for their failure to efficiently process permits. Now it turns out the numbers were off by thousands."
"The reality is this administration has done everything possible to make it more difficult to produce oil and natural gas on federal lands," she continued. "Studies show the United States would be producing 2-3 million more barrels per day, thereby lowering process for consumers, if it weren’t for these bad policies."
FOSSIL FUEL PROFITS ARE VITAL FOR GREEN ENERGY PROJECTS DEMS ROUTINELY TOUT
In addition to Biden, Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm, Interior Secretary Deb Haaland, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, former press secretary Jen Psaki, spokesperson John Kirby and anonymous administration officials all cited the figure.
"One thing I want to say about the oil companies: They talk about how we have — they have 9,000 permits to drill," Biden remarked in June. "They’re not drilling. Why aren’t they drilling?"

And what is worse are the Demofascist voters who support Joe's bad decisions on cutting oil productions, while they type on their plastic keyboards. You just cant get more stupid than a Joe Biden voter.

So, why are the 6,700 not being used by the oil companies?

Why is the US rig count is up 109% since Jan 2021.

Why are US oil exports in 2022 were the highest in history.

Why US oil production was higher in 2022 than 3 of the 4 years under Trump.

I would say that despite Biden's best efforts, the oil industry is is booming. They do not actually care what Biden says or does.

First point, did you not read the link? The Biden regime is holding up,permits, Simp.

Second point, ever heard of Covid and Dimwinger shutdowns?

The rest happened despite the Biden regime, not because of it.

Most of the govt leases aren't worth the time. Private leases are where the most drilling occurs. I've drilled thousands with private companies and we've never applied for govt leases. As to your last statement, oil companies don't really care who is president as long as demand is there.

If dems didn't team up with the CCP and Sinaloa cartel to cheat in the tens of millions column, there would never again be a democrat President and they might only have 4 or 6 Senators

From your link,

, altered its estimate for the current number of approved but unused applications for permits to drill from about 9,000 down to less than 6,700, the agency confirmed to Fox News Digital. The agency said the figure was updated to "account for a reporting discrepancy resulting from a transition to a new database in mid-2020.
What a damn non-issue. That is still almost seven thousand unused leases. They have been approved, they have been paid for, what is stopping the oil companies from drilling? And there is this little diddy,

Fox News, what a biased bunch of amateurs. Hell, they can't even hire a decent editor, "lowering process", what the hell is that? But the Western Energy Alliance? An industry lobbying group? Seriously? Could of, would of, should of horseshit, what studies, produce them or STFU.

Trump's last minute auction in the Arctic Refuge was a dismal failure, no major oil companies even bothered to submit a bid and 12 million of the 14 million raised came from the State of Alaska.

The reality is two fold. First, production on federal lands is up from 2020, and second, oil companies have shown little interest in new leases. FOX is just spinning.

But they do have to pay attention when a new resident comes out & says he will shut down fossil fuels & the govt makes plans to go to a "net-zero" economy of green energy pipe dreams.

They may not stop drilling but it is a factor when making a decision on new investments.
They spend lots of money to open new fields/wells in expectation of future profits but those become very uncertain if Big Brother is your declared enemy

Using 2020/21 as a benchmark is misleading.
They do the same thing with AGW by using the end of the Little Ice Age as the starting point to claim only human activity is responsible for any warming that happened

Thats true but from the meetings I've been in, we've pretty much hit capacity on electric. It just isn't concentrated and we have no way to increase the efficiency above 10 percent. Oil isn't going anywhere. If a hydrogen powered car ever came to market, I'd be worried.

I used 21 since that is when Biden took over. What other year would I use?
Probably pre pandemic. Everything was artificially depressed during that time. Not sure if oil production had rebounded by that point. It's no different than the 3 million or whatever it is job "created", or the record deficit "reduction".

You weren't supposed to notice that.
