Now, why would the passage of Jude 1 contain such a dire warning of eternal peril for any Christian who enables the spread of a homosexual culture (in this case using the vehicle of marriage)?
Imagine if you were God or just a behavioral psychologist for that matter, and you knew of how children form their habituated social minds as they start from infancy and during the first say 6 most formative years of their lives? They're called "FORMATIVE" years because they form the mind that interfaces in daily social life.
Let's say that a child is born into a society that has allowed this homosexual culture to spread to the level it did back in the days of Ancient Greece. We use our history books as instructional "how-tos" or, more often, "how NOT to" guides. In Ancient Greece, the homosexual culture spread to such a degree that even mothers simply accepted and acquiesced to surrendering their sons as young as age 6 to older gay men who then routinely sodomized them. And they in turning learning "the socially acceptable type of sex" selected young boys as the normal sexual partner. This is what really happened. This is what happens when unacceptable social norms spreading begin to snowball.
If you understand the broader scope of history, its lessons and the usual penchant of the animal side of men to wallow in depravity until it becomes an institution, you understand how important it is to not allow the spread of a bad idea at its inception. If any soul is to have a chance at rising above degredation, degredation cannot become the norm. The fear of being outcase from the norm is deep and primal motivator. So this motivator overrides any chance of a restrained plan, a nobel goal or plan of action.
So, it's the matrix of where children are formed which would be the important thing to preserve as a dominant-norm. There will always be subdonimant behaviors and trends that are opposite of the direction of spiritual enlightenment. LGBT is a cult that is a perfect case in point. We are now at a tipping point where we can either stand and oppose it's final conquering of more nobel values, human restraint and an angelic mind. Or we can buy the cult's singsong that "everyone has dark tendencies...so let's celebrate them!"
The dire warning in Jude 1 is a notice to those on a more nobler path that the matrix within which God tests souls cannot be tampered with by allowing it to become the devil's matrix instead. There must be an icecube's chance in hell (an appropos metaphor here) for a soul to ascend and rise above, otherwise the experiment is doomed. And this dooming of the experiment is what assigns the punishment of soul-death for participation in the ruination of God's petri dish.
