Suddenly, Republicans love Putin

Republicans were supporters of Putin well before 2016.

Indeed, the fascist, authoritarian right has long embraced autocrats, despots, and dictators.

We now know there is a direct link between Russia, Truth Social, Majorie Taylor Green and the USMB Republicans praising Putin.

Sen. Thom Tillis lashed out in a series of social media posts against “Russian sympathizers,” first taking aim Thursday at former Fox News reporter Tucker Carlson — and perhaps former President Donald Trump. Carlson last week recently published a two-hour interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin that even the foreign dictator criticized for being too soft, Carlson toured Russia and favorably compared the country to the U.S. That included a stop at a Russian grocery store where Carlson said he could get his normal groceries for $300 cheaper.

“The Soviets had a term for people like Tucker: useful idiots.”

Russia sees Trump. MTG and USMB Republicans as useful idiots.

American Republicans are Moscow Tools

Low producing Ore mines that some Canadian firm owned the rights to operate were included in a much larger transaction. They only produced about 5% of the commercial uranium we use in a year for our power plants and other things like medical equipment. However the New Republicans still had to ignore that we were still in the process of buying over 500 tons worth highly enriched uranium from Russia via the megatons to megawatts program. So why did the GOP foster that story on to it's sheep back then?

Because they're sheep.
Yep. The claim Hillary sold uranium is one of many, many, many hoaxes the rubes fell for.

Not one gram of uranium went to Russia.

Is that your response to all the dipshits who claimed Hillary sold uranium to Russia?

Good for you!

“Over the last six months, we started noticing this shift in the way people at Trump rallies talked about Russia and Vladimir Putin,” Klepper said. “What once used to be a dodge suddenly became an embrace. Putin was suddenly seen as, not this bad guy autocrat, but seen as somebody who was even preferable to Joe Biden.”

In fact, the first-ever Vanderbilt Unity poll found that 52% of MAGA Republicans believed that Putin was a better president than Biden.

Then, simultaneously, you’re seeing Marjorie Taylor Greene pushing Russian propaganda out there and stop funding to Ukraine,”

This guy was at a Trump rally praising Russia and how great it is because he saw Tucker Carlson's visit to Russia. Jordan pointed out to the guy murder is twice as bad in Russia than here in the USA and the guy said "oh I didn't know that" Of course you don't know that. You're getting your news from Russia.

Satirical "journalist" Jordan Klepper is doing a far better job of reporting than any media outlet, left or right.

The MAGA nutjobs won't watch the video. It's too revealing of what dangerous saps they are.

This MAGA idiot was going on and on about how much better Russia is than here in America and Jordan told him

The homicide rate is approximately 70%-90% higher in Russia than in the United States.

He said oh, I didn't know that.

Russia really loves to stoke the fire on immigrants at the border. Republicans don't realize that the border isn't nearly as big of a problem as they think. Who's telling them it is? Trump, Russia via Truth Social and Republican House members.

Amazing what cheating accomplishes.

You asshats won nothing, but you stole a lot.

Amazing, is an understatement of the apparent incompetency of the Neo-GOP. After all, 2020 and 2022 were the most recorded elections in history and yet they could offer no proof that stood up in the Courts about the alleged multi-state conspiracy. All they have is the Kangaroo liars on Faux Not News. Not only that, but they are the ones who are being charged in multiple states for forging and submitting fraudulent slates of electors to Congress for Jan 6th 2021.

Republicans Suddenly Love Vladimir Putin

Yup, the ultimate example of Party over Country
Conservatives have a track record for having an affinity for despots.

Donald Trump may be regularly depicted as an impetuous toddler in chief, but he appears to possess genuine convictions about international relations. Ever since he gave an interview to Playboy magazine in 1990 decrying Mikhail Gorbachev for failing to hold the Soviet empire together (“not a firm enough hand”) and praising the Chinese Communist leadership for crushing the student uprising at Tiananmen Square (“they were vicious, they were horrible, but they put it down with strength”), Mr. Trump has extolled authoritarian leaders as possessing the right stuff, while he has dismissed democratic ones as weak and feckless.

This impulse is not a new phenomenon for the United States; it dates back to World War I and World War II, when leading American conservatives praised foreign autocrats such as Kaiser Wilhelm II, Adolf Hitler, Benito Mussolini and Francisco Franco as their ideological comrades in arms. Until now, however, no modern president has lauded autocracy as a model for America.

During his four years in office, Mr. Trump blustered about alliances and praised foreign dictators but never actually upended America’s foreign policy. That could change in a second Trump administration. The former president is poised to adopt a radical program centered on constructive engagement with foreign strongmen and hostility toward democratic allies; it would include abandoning NATO. It would convert America from a dominant economic and military power into what Mr. Trump purports to abhor — a global loser.
