I'm going to suggest that if there were countries of the world giving millions to Clintons Foundation in 2015 in hopes she would win, there are going to be MANY countries, from Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Australia and others that are going to be praying for a Trump victory in 2020. These nations sovereignty and survival depend on a strong U.S leader who will openly confront and stifle communist China. Not to get into a war, but to avoid it by applying economic and diplomatic pressure.
There seems little doubt that if China is not stopped from expansion, there is eventually going to be a more overt expansion effort beyond just the South China Sea...
As China and the U.S. ramp up military activity near Taiwan, Beijing plans island takeover drill
China is planning to conduct a large-scale military drill to simulate the seizure of the Taiwan-controlled Pratas Islands in the South China Sea, according to Japanese media reports.
Beijing and Washington have both ramped up military activities near Taiwan in recent months, including regular Chinese air force drills near the islands and several U.S. sailings through the politically sensitive Taiwan Strait.
The U.S. navy said the USS McCampbell, a guided-missile destroyer, had transited the narrow waterway on Wednesday, one week before Taiwan president Tsai Ing-wen’s inauguration for a second term in office.
Japan’s Kyodo News reported earlier this week that the Chinese military intended to hold a beach landing simulation in August off Hainan Island, China’s southernmost province, which would mobilise marines, landing ships, hovercrafts and helicopters.
It cited unnamed Chinese sources as indicating the exercise may game out a scenario of capturing Pratas, which would be strategically important for China’s advance into the Pacific Ocean.
