America's Christian Heritage

You are a liar.

Christianity is one of the world’s great religions.

I just do not believe that it is the only true and great religion that leads to a life of higher spirituality when practiced in accordance with America’s civil religion which respects all religions or having absolutely no religion at all.

I have voted for Christians my entire life and will vote for Christians. I’m pretty sure up and down the line..
That’s nice. But I don’t need your origin story.

America’s Christian heritage really gets you worked up.

I haven’t lied, dummy

America’s Christian heritage does not in the slightest way ever get me worked up.

You are a liar. You know what gets me worked up, but you have to run away from it and in this case you are running by lying.

Your posts say otherwise.

America’s Christian heritage

i. America was founded as an enlightened multicultural Nation. 200223. ding Frb’29 Sawfaa tells me without a basis in fact that I have: “zero examples of any deist culture in colonial America”. dvng 200223 Sawfaa00098

ii. America's Christian Heritage 170320 {post•6}. ding Mar’17 Sachyz inserts reference to: "The Embarkation of the Pilgrims," dvng 170320 Sachyz00006

iii. America's Christian Heritage 240919 {post•608}.

NotfooledbyW Sep’24 Vachyz: The United States Constitution and the Declaration of Independence are the greatest examples of deism (rational theism) culture. Thomas Paine’s, Common Sense and the Age of Reason are right up there as well.

Why is it not Saint_Ding?

Does it bother you that the logical conclusion of atheism sees no distinction between good and evil?
That is not an absolute conclusion by any means.

I assume you believe that America’s Christian heritage is ongoing so the news of today indicates to me that there are those Christians who have no ******* idea about a distinction between good and evil. Mark Robinson is a part of America’s Christian Heritage now. The Black Nazi is running for governor of North Carolina under the Republican Christian MAGA banner with a full throated white Christian nationalist endorsement by Don Trump

He would prefer Hitler over Barack Obama.

He says Martin Luther King was a Commie.

“Get that f*cking commie bastard off the National Mall!,” Robinson wrote about the dedication of the memorial to King in Washington, DC, by then-President Barack Obama.

Right up your alley Saint_Ding calling anyone disagreeing with you a Commie.

Atheists see no distinction between good and evil because good and evil are constructs of humans.

All versions of God and demands to be worshipped in certain ways or means of access are constructs of humans

Spoken like someone who believes good and evil are human constructs.

No I do not believe good and evil are human constructs., Knowledge that I have power to commit good or evil and I know each from the other is innate. It is not revealed to me through only one desert religion book.

I am a rational theist like our first four presidents. Specifically Jefferson who wrote a lot.

WE CANNOT BE SURE ABOUT GOD OR AN AFTERLIFE

“I believe in both a creative and personal God, a divinely ordered universe, that man has a innate moral sense, and that Jesus was a great moral teacher, perhaps the greatest the world has witnessed.” – letter to his nephew, Peter Carr, August 10, 1787

WE CANNOT BE SURE ABOUT GOD OR AN AFTERLIFE

“To talk of immaterial existences is to talk of nothings. To say that the human soul, angels, god, are immaterial, is to say they are nothings, or that there is no god, no angels, no soul. I cannot reason otherwise … without plunging into the fathomless abyss of dreams and phantasms. I am satisfied, and sufficiently occupied with the things which are, without tormenting or troubling myself about those which may indeed be, but of which I have no evidence.” – letter to John Adams, August 15, 1820

Moral relativism much?

Moral relativism much?
If it’s good enough for our founding fathers, it is good enough for me.

If you don’t think the Catholic Church does it and did it when humans crested it you are a long way from being a totally and religiously honest human being.

The entire Catholic Church as an organization, human institution or storyteller is not necessary for producing civility when knowing the difference between right and wrong is innate as Jefferson says.

The founders were the opposite of moral relativists.

So am I. Recognizing evil such as Don Trump being evil, as in distant from truth. is an innate skill. Some Catholics agree that Don Trump is evil, while some Catholics say he is good. It is all relative to distance from truth bias of high ego, selfish persons.
