Tithing and offerings are two different things, aren't They?
Absolutely! I’ve been very clear about this. Tithing runs the church and offerings are for the poor, hungry, needy. However, think again about being at the judgment seat of God as he asks:
1. Were you paying me or robbing me?
2. Were you doing your best to help others in need or not? Were you loving your neighbors?

It’s amusing to see people rationalize concerning their decisions not to pay tithing and offerings.

Do you tithe on your gross income or net after taxes? Is inflation considered when tithing on investment profits?

Again, you are trying to rationalize the commandment to justify your cheapness. Your money isn’t yours. When you die it stays in the world. It’s God’s, all of it. He’s simply asking for one-tenth to build their Church. So, if you choose net, you have to check your own reason. I tithe gross.

Again, Jewish. Not Christian.
I’ve already given you the scriptures and reason why it’s also Christian. If you want to rob God while the widow mite gave all she had. She had real faith. Yours is lacking, seriously.

So when Jesus said, " Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesars" he wasn't talking about the coin with Caesar's image? Whose image is on your money? Is the "mammon of unrighteousness" the "things of God"?

Your gross pay isn't your 'increase'. What's left after you pay taxes is your increase. You benefit very little from your tax contribution. It is others that receive the benefit. So your taxes are a dead loss to you. Why would God want you to pay tithes on money that you don't have and never had?

You don't know what "gross" means when it comes to doing your taxes? LOL!!! Net is your adjusted gross. Good grief.
Why did you only quote half of his sentence? Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesars AND RENDER UNTO GOD THAT WHICH IS GOD'S. Pay your taxes and pay your tithing. End of story. Jesus said it and it's written in the New Testament.

Malachi is Jewish scripture. The widow was Jewish.

Your understanding is lacking, seriously.

Adjusted Gross Income is your income before deductions and taxes.
Net income is taxable income minus taxes paid.

*The term "Net" does not appear on Form 1040.

If you can't identify who and where the true church is how do you know who to give the tithe to? When God destroyed Judaism and scattered the Jews, basically divorcing them, did he say, "By the way, you must still tithe."

You pay tithes because the law says they are owed. You give offerings. As I said, I'm sure that is probably not the only place you chose to substitute your beliefs for what the Bible actually says.

You think the widow Mite could afford it? Tithing is actually about faith in Christ. Do you have faith in Christ or not? If not, then keep on robbing him.
The tithe was invented to rob you.

No, none of the money goes in Jesus's pocket.

The Israelites instituted a tithe to support the priest class. They're the ones who "invented" it.

According to the gospels, every believer is a priest. That is, Christianity has no group to support with tithes.

So you're right, I suppose. A church heierarchy amounts to theft for a message that doesn't require a priesthood.

True. We are a 'royal priesthood' and therefore each of us has a 'ministry' that shows forth in our lives. Therefore, we use our money for our own ministry.

And the tithe also took advantage of people being illiterate. They couldn't read their Bibles.

So they tithed, so that someone else would read it to them, so they wouldn't go to hell.

Now tithes are for building palatial eyesore buildings and repaving the south lot and buying LED marquees and pylon signs.

"CHARITY!"

Malachi is scripture for the entire world. Jesus said render unto Caesar that which is Caesars and render unto God that which is God. It's just as important to Christians as it is to Jews. By the way, I'm a convert from Judaism. So, let me ask you, do you tithe ten percent of your gross increase or do you rob God?
